Who are Jared Thomas and Abit Massey?
The Runbeck Connection, Part 4
Just two weeks before the Trump Administration forced the closing of the Chinese Consulate in Houston last July, Gov. Kemp flew in to meet with Li Qiangmin, the Consul General there.
It’s not known when the president found out about this visit, but Kemp has taken considerable public heat and was criticized by Trump for not taking action, or investigating reports of obvious election fraud in his state.
Massive Spy Center
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the Houston Consulate complex a “hub of spying and IP theft,” and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said the consulate was a “massive spy center” and “forcing it to close is long overdue.”
Marco is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee that oversees human rights and is a member of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
According to various reports, the consulate was a nest of Chinese spies who tried to steal data from facilities in Texas, including the Texas A&M medical system and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Who are Jared Thomas and Abit Massey?
A former chief of staff for Kemp was one of eight registered lobbyists for Dominion Voting Systems in Georgia.
Insiders say it was a “sure thing Dominion was in when we learned Thomas was involved.”
The lobbyist legislator that staff members were referring to was Jared Thomas, a close friend and former chief of staff for Kemp.
Another lobbyist for the controversial company was former Georgia Secretary of State Lewis Abit Massey.
An investigation into U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings has revealed that the firm which owns Dominion Voting Systems received $400 million dollars from a Swiss bank with close links to the Chinese government less than a month before the election.
Even more connections between Dominion Voting Systems and the Chinese government have been found in recent weeks.
Dominion’s Core Infrastructure Manager of Information Technology, Andy Huang, previously worked for China Telecom, a Chinese Communist affiliated company.
The investigation, conducted by Austin Security and Investigation Solutions, centers on Staple Street Capital, which acquired Dominion Voting Systems in 2018.
Dominion Voting Systems operates voting machines in at least 28 states, including the swing states involved in deleting millions of votes for Trump in addition to switching votes to Biden on election night.
“On Oct 8, 2020, Staple Street Capital filed SEC Form D offerings and sales amount of $400,000,000 with the Sales Compensation Recipient identified as UBS Securities,” the investigation release stated. They also noted a previous payment of $200,000,000 was received in December 2014, leading up to the eventual Hillary Clinton vs. Donald J. Trump presidential election campaigns.
Records reveal Dominion donated large sums (at least $150,000) of money to the Clinton Foundation and were in cahoots with The DELIAN Project, a transnational voting technology initiative valued at over $2 million with the Clintons.
The Georgia Fix Was In
Even the liberal New York Times can’t take back their June 11, 2020 article about how Georgia political leaders spent over $100 million in taxpayers’ money to use Dominion Voting Systems in 2019.
The office of Georgia’s secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, was in charge of the procurement of these devices.
Records and evidence are indicating Raffensperger, Governor Brian Kemp, and legislative members were heavily lobbied. Some intelligence gathered show “family members of certain high profile politicians were paid Hunter Biden style” by Dominion “both directly and indirectly.”
Georgia used Dominion’s Democracy 5.5 system, the one that failed certification in Texas three times.
The Times reported the software used in the 2020 summer primaries “caused block-long lines across Georgia, as primary voters stood for hours while poll workers waited for equipment to be delivered or struggled to activate the system’s components. Locations ran out of provisional ballots. Many people, seeing no possible option to exercise their right to vote, simply left the lines.”
After a six county test in 2019, Marilyn Marks, the executive director of the Coalition for Good Governance, described to the State Legislature that the Dominion technology was “too complex,” leaving election integrity at risk and likened it to a “Rube Goldberg contraption with way more components than are needed.”
In a joint formal letter to the Georgia Legislature in December 2018, FreedomWorks and the bipartisan National Election Defense Coalition
warned of severe problems ahead.
The letter indicated both groups “are gravely concerned that vendors are promoting unnecessarily costly and less efficient electronic Ballot Marking Devices for all voters.”
Three Times The Cost
“These devices will cost Georgia taxpayers three times more than the most common and efficient paper ballot voting method, hand-marked paper ballots.”
The two advisory groups continued indicating these devices that these “vendors have been aggressively promoting to provide a paper ballot are completely unnecessary and amount to nothing more than a boondoggle for the vendors and an enormous waste of taxpayer dollars.”
“Over 70% of the nation votes on paper ballots that are marked by the voter with a pen and counted by an electronic scanner.”
“If Georgia is to purchase” the Dominion devices, they warned, “for all voters this would mean that most voters would be using an expensive electronic device that costs several thousand dollars to perform the same task as a pen.”
If the state legislature would not have approved the $100 million expenditure, the comparative estimate of providing optical scanners to count ballots marked by pen (and providing at least one Dominion machine to offer accessible technology for voters that may need assistance) would cost about $35 million.
“Purchasing and requiring all voters to use electronic BMDs will be a needless waste of taxpayer dollars and will provide an inferior voting experience for Georgia citizens.”
Georgia leaders went forward with the $100 million-plus Dominion system, even after Georgia’s six county test failed.
Chinese Consulate
Just two weeks after Kemp’s meeting at the Houston Chinese Consulate, U.S. teams entered the complex after the city fire and police departments were called due to a fire.
After the Chinese officials packed up and left, U.S. officials hauled evidence into a van and drove away.
The U.S. alleged that the consulate was a nest of Chinese spies who tried to steal data from facilities in Texas, including the Texas A&M medical system and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Meanwhile in San Francisco, Tang Juan, a People’s Republic of Chinese scientist termed by U.S. senior officials as a “fugitive from justice” was taken into custody on July 23, 2020 after being initially questioned by the FBI on June 30.
Tang was brought in on visa fraud, but reports have surfaced she was part of Beijing’s acts of using its diplomatic outposts to run their espionage network to steal intellectual property from US businesses, universities and research centers.
Prosecutors said that Tang hid her connection to China’s military in order to enter the US, lied to federal investigators about those links and attempted to avoid her arrest by taking refuge in the San Francisco consulate.
According to court documents, Tang, 37, entered the US in December 2019 on an “educational exchange” visa.
On Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, Rubio and Representative Jim McGovern, the Cochair and Chair of the bipartisan and bicameral Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC) respectively, sent letters to the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of both Intel Corporation and NVIDIA.
“The letters seek additional information with regard to the sale of advanced computer chips that power a supercomputer used by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) security forces in the conduct of mass surveillance, and other human rights abuses, against Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and other predominately Muslim ethnic minorities in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR),” Rubio’s Senate webpage announced.
“The Chairs asked the CEOs for a response to their questions about their exports to the PRC, including whether they knew that their technology would be used to support surveillance activities conducted by the PRC police forces and security entities and whether they took steps to ensure that their products were not used for human rights abuses or to compromise U.S. national security.”
The Runbeck Connection
According to Georgia Secretary of State records, “Runbeck Election Services, Inc. is a Georgia Foreign Profit Corporation filed On April 6, 2020. The company’s filing status is listed as Active/Owes Current Year and its File Number is 20049030.
The company has 2 principals on record. The principals are Kevin Runbeck from Phoenix AZ and Robert Shepier from Phoenix AZ.”
Within two months, for the June 9, 2020 election primaries of Georgia, their Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger coordinated a deal with Runbeck Election Services who “partnered with Dominion Voting and the state of Georgia to send out more than one million absentee ballots.”
During the 2016 general primary, only 37,000 absentee ballots were submitted by mail. 200,000 were submitted for the November 2016 general election, just one fifth of the total had on the June 9 election date.
The surge was a result of Raffensperger’s office sending absentee ballot request forms to all of Georgia’s 6.9 million active voters.
Raffensperger’s own press release revealed, “Instead of leaving the sending of absentee ballot request forms to local elections offices or third party organizations, the Secretary of State’s office took on that responsibility, coordinating with experienced state vendors for the printing and mailing of the request forms.”
“The Secretary of State’s office also contracted with outside mail vendors for the fulfillment of the absentee ballot requests, including the provision of processing equipment and printing and mailing ballots, to take that burden off of local elections officials.“
“The Secretary of State is providing millions of dollars in grants to local elections offices for sanitation equipment, elections infrastructure, and other voting needs. One grant in particular is dedicated to equipment like drop boxes, which will make it easier for voters to return their absentee ballots and for local elections offices to accept them.“
One obvious question is why would Kevin Runbeck want a patent to generate revised ballots?
I could understand revising ballots if candidates, dates, locations change prior to an election event and printing of ballots, but how would this prevent tampering, prefilled vote choices and fraud?
