1 medium cabbage (shredded)
1 onion (thinly sliced)
2 eggs
3–4 tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika or red chili flakes
½ tsp garlic powder (or 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced)
2–3 tbsp oil (for frying)
Optional: chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions
Prepare cabbage
Put shredded cabbage in a bowl, add salt, and massage for 2–3 minutes until soft. Squeeze out excess water.
Mix everything
Add onion, eggs, flour, black pepper, paprika, and garlic. Mix well until it forms a thick batter.
Cook
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Spoon the mixture into the pan like fritters or spread it as one big pancake.
Flip & crisp
Cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Serve hot
Sprinkle herbs on top and serve with yogurt sauce, ketchup, or garlic mayo.

Likely not! (I took German in college my freshman year a long time ago. Then in 1989, in Germany, I learned that I have forgotten most of it).

I learned it from my Oma (and trying to apply it to college courses in German was a bad mistake as she came from the hinterlands of Bavaria — Bayern). I know my Deutsch is slipping, but maybe I keep it because I learned it early or I often think of her.
