Baby Boomers and others may recall in the early seasons of the Saturday Night Live television program, comedian Chevy Chase became quite famous for his gag falls portraying President Gerald Ford.
Ford had the distinction of being the first president to fall from the stairs of Air Force One in 1975. It didn’t help his reputation, that on a trip to San Antonio, Texas the public realized Ford did not know how to eat a tamale when he bit into a shuck.
More recently, Joe Biden experienced a similar fiasco walking up the stairs to the presidential jet.
By then, after “Let’s Go Brandon,” and “FJB” became national chants, the public was becoming accustomed to ridiculing Biden.
