Today, we are told that only 22 percent of Americans use CASH DAILY.
According to various social media posts, to America’s favorite money management advisor, Dave Ramsey, a cashless society means no cash. Zero. It doesn’t mean mostly cashless and you can still use a “wee bit of cash here and there”.

I could not find a reliable source to prove Ramsey actually said or posted a list, but it has been reported he did release some information during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The cons of going cashless
Before we get to what Ramsey may have said, let’s look at the potential cons of going cashless…
- It excludes people without access to bank accounts, credit, or mobile technology.
- Excludes people who aren’t digitally literate
- Privacy issues. No anonymity
- It could pave the way for a financial surveillance state where every transaction is tracked and recorded.
Ramsey’s Elaboration
Cashless means fully digital, fully traceable, fully controlled.

“I think those who support a cashless society aren’t fully aware of what they are asking for, says Ramsey. A cashless society means:
- If you are struggling with your mortgage on a particular month, you can’t do an odd job to get you through.
- Your child can’t go & help the local farmer to earn a bit of summer cash.

- No more cash slipped into the hands of a child as a good luck charm or from their grandparent when going on holidays.
- No more money in birthday cards.
- No more piggy banks for your child to collect pocket money & to learn about the value of earning.

- No more cash for a rainy day fund or for that something special you have been putting $20 a week away for.
- No more little jobs on the side because your wages barely cover the bills or put food on the table.
- No more charity collections.

- No more selling bits & pieces from your home that you no longer want/need for a bit of cash in return.
- No more cash gifts from relatives or loved ones.

What a cashless society does guarantee
- Banks have full control of every single penny you own.
• Every transaction you make is recorded.
- All your movements & actions are traceable.

- Access to your money can be blocked at the click of a button when/if banks need ‘clarification’ from you which will take about 3 weeks, a thousand questions answered & five thousand passwords.
- You will have no choice but to declare & be taxed on every dollar in your possession.

- The government WILL decide what you can & cannot purchase.
“If your transactions are deemed in any way questionable, by those who create the questions, your money will be frozen, ‘for your own good’.
Forget about cash being dirty. Stop being so easily led. Cash has been around for a very, very, very long time & it gives you control over how you trade with the world. It gives you independence.

I heard a story where a man supposedly contracted Covid because of a $20 bill he had handled. There is the same chance of Covid being on a card as being on cash. If you cannot see how utterly ridiculous this assumption is then there is little hope.
If you are a customer, pay with cash. If you are a shop owner, remove those ridiculous signs that ask people to pay by card. Cash is a legal tender, it is our right to pay with cash.

Banks are making it increasingly difficult to lodge cash & that has nothing to do with a virus, nor has this ‘dirty money’ trend.
Please open your eyes. Please stop believing everything you are being told. Almost every single topic in today’s world is tainted with corruption & hidden agendas. Please stop telling me & others like me that we are what’s wrong with the world when you hail the most corrupt members of society as your heroes.
Politics & greed is what is wrong with the world; not those who are trying to alert you to the reality in which you are blindly floating along whilst being immobilised by irrational fear.
Fear created to keep you doing & believing in exactly what you are complacently doing.
Pay with cash & please say no to a cashless society while you still have the choice.

Bingo to all the above. I’ve gone back to cash instead of debit card. I mostly deal with cash 90% of my purchases it’s only the large ticket items where I don’t have enough cash on hand for a $200 or plus purchase. There is has been several times when all the debit machines have gone down in the a large section of our city and other cities at the same time conveniently for several seconds to several minutes. People standing in line at a grocery store right in a middle of a transaction all machines go down across all cashiers. I can go cause I have enough cash on hand to cover my bill. Of course everybody wants to know what caused this interruption of no access to accounts or credit cards for whatever the time period was. Usually its a glitch in the network and it will take about 3 months to figure out the problem. This is what is reported on the news later in the day. I know what the problem is it was hacked for a moment. I’m convinced of this. Hackers are testing out bank machines, cell phone and internet services maybe just to see what happens in the event of? We as a society have relied on technology on everything to communicate.
With all the storms that have taken place this winter. Loss of hydro how will you buy anything if you rely on technology to access your account? Always keep cash on hand a certain amount so you’re able to buy small items to get you through as well. Still I don’t trust or rely on technology for every transaction especially when it comes to bank accounts. I’m betting we will see interruptions more and more even to hydro such as the big blackout in Berlin Germany last month which never made the news. Still never found out the cause of this large blackout.
Well, what I can say is everything happens “accidentally on purpose”

We pay with cash whenever possible. Our bank account has been hacked twice, so we don’t use a debit card. We use cash to avoid fraud, a digital trail, identity theft, impulsive purchases, and mostly because we like the smell of greenbacks. 🙂

That’s very odd, because it was just this week that I was thinking how much I like the smell of money, and wondering what they use to give it that smell.

They probably want us to believe it is too late, but it’s a smokescreen. If we use the cash, speak out, don’t go for the digital convenience, we undermine their plan. If we act on their lies, and give up, they win.

For the most part, my husband uses cash for everything. But he has worked in the gambling industry since he was 21 and is accustomed to seeing a lot of cash. Most people haven’t had that experience. There is nothing like holding cold, hard cash in your hand.
