Experience tells me not to trust most political polls, especially from mainstream legacy media surveys.
Historically, since at least prior to the Barack Obama presidency, the most accurate or legitimate polls are those taken directly by the Republican and Democrat national committees pollsters.
Donald J. Trump’s 2016 and 2020 campaign polls continue to be the most accurate in history, but we know how leftist Deep State operatives and a biased media finagled 2020.
Even during the 2024 campaign we can tell what internal polling indicates by where Trump and JD Vance are appearing:

Just off the heels of Hurricane Helene, a Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found:
● 52% rate Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the disaster as fair (28%) or poor (24%).
● 37% of voters say that the way they handled the situation with Hurricane Helene has been either excellent (10%) or good (27%).
● Just 12% of voters trust the federal government more when it comes to handling major disasters like hurricanes.
● 35% trust state and local governments more, while 41% say they trust both equally.
However, some of the latest political polls–especially those released to dissuade voter turnout by having us believe their candidate is doing well enough to not need our vote cast–are releasing some interesting data.
First, examine these polls from a few months back:

Now, here is a sampling of very recent polls:
New York Times/Siena
● 75 percent of likely voters rated the economy either “poor” or “fair.”
● 47 percent say it is “poor,” and 28 percent said “only fair.”
● Only 3 percent described the economy as “excellent.”
● Just 21 percent describe the economy as “good.”
● Only 5 percent of Democrats describe the economy “excellent.”
● Just 2 percent of independents say “excellent.”
● 17 percent of independents say the economy is “good. “
● 30 percent of independents say it is only “fair.”
● 50 percent of independents say it is “poor.”

Economist/YouGov
● 40 percent say their economic conditions are poor.
● 29 percent say they are only fair.
● Just 23 percent say they are good.
● Only five percent say they are excellent.
Gallup
● 3 percent rate the economy as excellent.
● 19 percent rate it as good.
● 29 percent rate conditions as only fair.
● 48 percent say the economy is poor.

Liberal economists and economic opinion writers are losing their minds over this, insisting that the American people should not believe their lying eyes.
“The U.S. economy is just doing spectacularly well,” the Washington Post‘s said Catherine Rampell.
“It’s hard to overstate just how good recent economic numbers have been,” Paul, claiming that the state of the economy is a vindication of Bidenomics.
Mark Zandi, of Moody’s Analytics, wrote that he thinks “the economy is about as good as it gets.”
Stephanie Kelton, an adviser to the far-left of the Democratic Party and a leader of the Modern Monetary Theory school of economics, said that this is the best economy since the 1980s.

The Dominant Issue for Voters
Even above immigration and crime, the economy remains the dominant issue for voters.
Times/Siena poll:
● 28 percent of likely voters rate the economy as the top issue, twice as many as those who say abortion is their top issue.
● 6 percent say inflation is the top issue.
● 75 percent say that they have cut back on groceries in the last year because of cost.
Gallup
● 52 percent say the candidates’ positions on the economy are an “extremely important” influence on their vote, making it the only issue that has the majority of the public rating it that important.
● 38 percent say the issue of the economy is “very important,” which indicates the issue could be a significant factor to nine in 10 voters.

[…] Economy is by Far the #1 Issue […]

I boggles my mind that anyone can take Kamala seriously at all. It also boggles my mind that the number one issue is the economy–shouldn’t it be the obvious fact that these people hate America and are Marxists looking to destroy the country and us? Do people really never look beyond their pocketbooks to the reason it is this way?
To answer my own questions, people want to believe, cling to the false hope that everything is normal. It’s going to have to turn upside down and inside out before things get straight again, and it won’t be comfortable for awhile. Don Henley had this song, “Driving With Your Eyes Closed.”

I am sure the conservative side has immigration as #1 concern, but when liberals are added to the mix, economy is high on both sides.
