Over 1/2 Million Illegal Aliens Apprehended
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is on a roll.
The launch of Operation Lone Star by Gov. Abbott is meant to fill the dangerous gaps created by the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border.
Every individual who is apprehended or arrested and every ounce of drugs seized would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and the nation due to Joe Biden’s open border policies.
The multi-agency operation is an effort, that as of March 22, 2023, has led to over 505,800 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 41,000 criminal arrests, with more than 36,500 felony charges.
In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 470 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission.
Texas has also transported:
- Over 12,800 migrants to Washington, D.C. since April 2022
- Over 40,600 migrants to New York City since August 2022
- Over 33,300 migrants to Chicago since August 2022
- Over 3,500 migrants to Philadelphia since November 2022
- Over 17,200 migrants to Denver since May 2023
- Over 1,600 migrants to Los Angeles since June 2023
On Wednesday, Governor Abbott met with over 100 Texas sheriffs who signed a letter of support for Operation Lone Star and Texas’ historic efforts to secure the border.
Later, Abbott addressed the surge of illegal immigrants in El Paso and announced that the Texas National Guard and DPS are redoubling the razor wire barriers in the region. The Governor also instructed DPS to arrest every illegal immigrant involved for criminal trespass and destruction of property.
Abbott then celebrated Texas as the nation’s undisputed jobs leader following the release of February employment numbers showing jobs surging in Texas as employers added 49,800 jobs in February.
The evening before, Abbott was awarded 2024 Texan of the Year by the Texas Legislative Conference (a non-partisan group) for his critical role in propelling the Texas economy to greater heights at a reception in New Braunfels.
“Not only is Texas the headquarters of headquarters, but our small businesses also employ nearly half of all working Texans,” said Governor Abbott. “We, as a state, will work side-by-side with small businesses, making sure that they are going to have the promise of the opportunity that can only be found in Texas.”
Abbott highlighted Texas for being recognized as the nation’s Top Business Climate and the Best State for Business for a record-shattering 19 years in a row. He also celebrated the largest property tax cut in Texas history—with $18 billion going back into the pockets of hardworking Texans—which was signed into law last year.

You asked in another comment what do we do about this regime seeking to take America out by any means they can, and I was surprised, because you and so many others are doing so much. Texas uniting, leading and facing down the Left’s lawlessness, those men in their hats in the Governor’s office, are just a piece of the picture. If enough of us are first praying, and then using every means of our individual talents and resources available to wake people up, Paul Reveres, as it were, and living intently and fully engaged lives, we are doing what this regime fears most. They cannot, try as they will, keep adequate track of us, and there are too many of us waking up. There is great hope, and so many are acting in their spheres, but most of all, it is not we ourselves who will save us; only God in His mercy will do the real heavy lifting, as we turn back to Him. And He heals our land. And we do our own parts. I’m getting carried away here. But you can see it happening, and the ugliness we see now is the desperation of a foe about to die.
