No wonder locals call it an eyesore that ruins the park. It perfectly captures the “fundamental transformation” Obama promised – heavy, oppressive, and built to last like a bad idea that won’t go away.

Now the punchline: To tour this tribute to his legacy, you’ll pay $30 for adults and $23 for kids ages 3-11. Illinois residents get a discount to $26 with proof of residency, and free entry on Tuesdays – but only if they flash a valid photo ID, driver’s license, or state card at the door and get scanned.

Democrats scream “voter ID is racist” and fight tooth and nail against showing papers at the polls in many states. Yet here, at Barack Obama’s own vanity project, suddenly ID is mandatory for discounts or free days. The hypocrisy is thicker than the concrete walls.

After eight years of division, record debt, and policies that hollowed out American cities, who wants to drop hard-earned cash on this?

Not many, judging by the backlash. Taxpayers already footed a massive bill for the thing, and now they’re expected to pony up again just to walk through it. A grand opening is scheduled for invited guests and excited mainstream media feet lickers on June 16, (Juneteenth) 2026.
