Judge Ruled Wisconsin Elections Commission Broke Law in 2020 Contest

Not only did the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) use absentee ballot drop boxes, they allowed ballot harvesting in the November 2020 Election. Both are not permitted in state law.

Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Michael Bohren, on Thursday, also found that WEC’s guidance documents on drop boxes should have gone through legislative rules process.

🔹Judge Bohren issued a summary judgment decision to ban ballot drop boxes in the entire state of Wisconsin.

🔹Judge Bohren had previously banned ballot harvesting in the state.

🔹WEC issued memos to Wisconsin clerks in March and August of 2020 encouraging their use.

🔹Illegally, they illegally permitted that absentee ballots do not need to be mailed by the voter or delivered by the voter, in person, to the municipal clerk, but instead could be dropped into a drop box.

🔹According to WEC directions just prior to elections, they said ballot drop boxes could be unstaffed, temporary, or permanent.

🔹The WEC is under investigation for the memos.
