In 1964, Dr. Mary S. Sherman was on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, but it wasn’t for any of her achievements in surgery, cancer research or leadership of medical organizations. It was because she had been horrifically murdered.

On July 20, a mere 12 hours earlier, evening newspapers in New Orleans announced that The Warren Commission had arrived in the city and was inviting anyone who had any information about the Kennedy Assassination, or about Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused assassin, to stand forth and speak to the Commission the next morning.
“Dr. Mary,” as JFK assassination researchers have come to call her, was a brave woman. She would have stepped forward to defend her friend, Lee Oswald.
Those who say her murder was a mere coincidence — occurring no later than 4am the morning of July 21 — must deal with the facts accumulated since then and studied by researchers Edward T. Haslam and Dr. James S. Campbell –both of whom personally knew “Dr. Mary.”

“The New Orleans Project,” was about CIA secret work for designing a biological weapon from an engineered and enhanced virus-laden cancer, aimed to kill someone: perhaps someone like a Jack Ruby, a witness to crime, an assassin, or even the head of state of another country.
I had heard about this in the late 1970s but never understood the full connection until the details were brilliantly laid out in the revealing Ed Haslam book, “Dr. Mary’s Monkey” (gifted to me by a major Clever Journeys sponsor a few years ago).

Believing they were serving their country at the behest of the CIA, the planners behind the bio-engineering project involved an extremely expensive, state-of-the-art installation and use of a linear particle accelerator.
In summary, Lee Harvey Oswald protected the United States from Castro’s spies by pretending to be pro-Castro, as did David W. Ferrie, a pilot and scientifically-trained “untraceable asset” who had access to both the Mafia and the CIA.

He pretended to hate JFK (he actually at one point did hate Kennedy, sincerely, but then learned it wasn’t JFK’s fault for what happened to his friends at The Bay of Pigs, when CIA Director Allen Dulles and his buddies disgracefully rigged matters to embarrass and weaken the young, new president.
Their plan was in to force Kennedy to attack the USSR due to Soviet placements of nuclear-armed missiles in Cuba, a mere 90 miles from the US mainland.

This Cuban Missile crisis nearly devolved into World War III. Today we have records showing that only John F. Kennedy stood between a devastating nuclear war and some other way to resolve the issue. We likely owe JFK an unspeakable amount of gratitude for his steadfast refusal to bomb Havana – and in the process, saving millions of lives.
Could it be that Oswald, Dr. Mary and Ferrie likely risked their lives trying to protect JFK? All three were murdered, their lives cut short, their courage unrecognized.
One of the great mysteries was “What happened to the linear particle accelerator?”
There were witnesses and evidence as to its original location, for such an engine of radiation was –and still is– extremely expensive. There were very few in the world in 1963, and some of them were used for secret projects.

Gruesome photos that show how Dr. Mary was electrocuted — her hair untouched, but her hand, wrist, arm–all the way to the shoulder– was gone, with only a charred stump remaining at the shoulder. The electrical burn traveled all the way to her waistline, incinerating about 1/3 of her chest and abdomen on the same side as her missing arm, only a plastic belt, which doesn’t conduct electricity, stopping the incinerating power of the enormous LINAC that mortally wounded her.
Her heart was still beating when somebody mercifully stabbed her in a precise stroke such as a doctor would use. But then they tried to cover up her murder, returning Mary’s body to her apartment, piling clothing atop her naked body after stabbing it a few more times here and there, to make it seem like a sexually-driven murder– and setting the clothing afire to make it seem her arm and right side had been consumed by ordinary flames.

But it wasn’t convincing.
Mary’s books didn’t even catch on fire, nor did the curtains nearby. There was no forced entry.
Prime suspect Juan Valdez, who worked at the Trade Mart along with Clay Shaw and others that New Orleans attorney Jim Garrison knew were involved somehow in the Kennedy assassination (Oliver Stone’s film “JFK” characterized what Garrison was up against). Valdez and the others went free.

Even the linear particle accelerator vanished, as if it had never existed.
Conspiracy and forensic researchers believe it was rigged to kill Dr. Mary.
These “coincidences” are too common and too pervasive in the Kennedy assassination to be ignored.
In 2020, a witness who read books about Dr. Mary’s assassination emerged. He was Dr. Jack Kruse, a neurosurgeon who with a clinic in New Orleans, a SPA Health Center in Lafayette LA, and another clinic in the Florida panhandle.
Dr. Kruse had personally worked at Ochsner Clinic with Dr. John Ochsner, the second son of Dr. Alton Ochsner, where The Project first began.
“I know where the linear particle accelerator was taken,” Dr. Kruse explained to a JFK Assassination convention in Dallas. “I saw it in the basement at Ochsner’s. I wondered how the Clinic had managed to obtain such an extremely valuable piece of equipment, for which it did not have much use.”

Of course an advanced piece of equipment such as this super-powerful LINAC wouldn’t have been thrown away. It is worth, today, some 200 million dollars.
Some intelligent people, in the know, say this all leads to biological weapon creations such as Covid-19, or endless wars, huge profits for a few, and the overthrow of nations.
Note: I saw the President and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on his last full day alive in San Antonio, Texas. As a third grader, my mother checked me out of school so I could see my father, an Alamo City motorcycle police officer, riding next to Kennedys on their way to Kelly Air Force Base.

Over the years, as a private investigator and journalist, I had the fortune to interview or meet assassination witnesses, Dallas police officers at Dealey Plaza, Oswald’s landlord, Officer Tippet’s widow and others.
