Who remembers intelligence, patriotism and common sense? They don’t appear to be as common as they once were.
These are seriously funny, but frightening when we notice how far society has dropped the ball.

I pine for the good old days of the 1950s when I was a kid and didn’t know any of this crap. I was happy until I started watching the television news cast. I must admit, I liked Walter, Chet and Huntly. Walter reminded me of my late grandfather and Chet was a dead ringer for my neighbor Mr. Cohen, who was a jewish fellow that survived the concentration camps. Kids are inquesitive by nature, so one day I asked Mr. Cohen what the number on his arm meant. He replied that it was his phone number so if he was ever hit by a car the cops could call his wife. Made sense to me.

Another good story. I find myself thinking of moments like that (some I was sure were long forgotten) more often nowadays. Thanks again.
