Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment of the state’s National Guard and State Troopers to counteract the growing border crisis.
Abbott announced Operation Lone Star “to combat the smuggling of people and drugs into Texas” on Saturday.
The operation will combine the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) with the National Guard. Abbott has ordered the deployment of air, ground, marine, and tactical border security assets to high threat areas.

“The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration,” the governor said in a written statement Saturday evening. “Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans. We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis…”

It’s lovely to finely see Texas show the other states what we REALLY are. To be a Texan is one of the most admirable things my daddy gave us as legacy. In my family, we look at being Texan as our blood right of independent thought. Everyone in Texas is different in some way, but the same when it comes to being who/whatever you think to be. It’s nice to see ‘our’ people standing up against this tyranny, that thinks it owns us all. Maybe it’s time for every one of these 50 states to take back their own freedoms. We own legislation, not the other way.
Thank you Mr. Abbott for finally strutting a true Texas spirit. We have surely missed you.
Get courage America!

I agree, wholly! We must start protecting ourselves from the destruction that the current Biden administration seems so intent on forcing upon us—the destruction of our beloved America!

I’m so proud of you, Texas! Although I don’t live there, you continue to be a shining example to the rest of the country! Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s going to pay off big, I can tell you!

Minor correction in re to the boat pic.
Those are not .50 Cal guns. They are 7.62 (.30 Cal) M60 machine guns.
“Fiddies” are not generally used on personnel and will shake a small boat apart. the .50 BMG is used to mess up heavy equipment and concrete structures. It would be way overkill and wasteful. Why toss a nuke when a grenade will work just fine? The 7.62Nato/.308 Win is more than adequate for the job at hand. Texans do go big but we’re not wasteful.
