Splash Mountain in Disneyland opened on July 17, 1989, but went back to the drawing board and reopened in 1992. On May 31, 2023 Disney closed the ride.

There were three drops but The Big Drop was 52.5 feet and slides down in 9.8 seconds. There were 103 total audio-animatronics on the ride.
