Democrat Governor of Massachusetts Maura Healey let an illegal migrant from El Salvador who was convicted of child rape and previously deported, come back into her state and live right across the street from a children’s playground.
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons confirmed the state knew about it and let it happen anyway.
Governor Healey claims Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state, but Boston is a sanctuary city led by Mayor Michelle Wu
Director Lyons is saying that the state is operating like a sanctuary state
“That’s one of the frustrating things for us. And what I’d say for the governor’s office is we’ve had individual law enforcement agencies and state agencies reach out and say, hey, we want to turn this individual over to you.”
“They’re wanted for murder in El Salvador. And like the sex offenders you saw today. They’re already known, registered sex offenders on the Massachusetts probation rolls. Why would you not turn someone over that’s been previously deported? To me, that just makes no sense. And again, like the person we arrested that was living across the street from a playground.”
“So, you know, you have a deported sex offender that the state knew about living across the street from a playground”.
