Adding these things to my grocery list now! How are you guys faring down there in the freeze?

We did ok. Just stayed inside. We don’t drive well in snow & ice.

Good! Us too. I’m so glad you stayed safe and warm.

This guy really knows his stuff. I was most impressed that he knows what to combine with calcium so that it absorbs into your bones, and not your blood vessels. So many doctors just tell you not to eat or take calcium as a fix; they think you are getting too much: Wrong! Another help for absorption of it it plenty of Vitamin D, which or course, living in sunny Texas and taking cod liver oil, you’ll never have to worry about. Harder up North; I take a lot of clo and not as much sun. I learned this stuff from “The Maker’s Diet,,” but this is equally as good, plus. It’s so wonderful to see this much-needed education getting out there. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.”
I have the same question as Catherine: How are you faring in the Freeze? We got over a foot of snow; lots of all day digging out, no freezing rain, horrible temperatures like 3 degrees, but it’s been like that since December. For you guys, it’s different; you aren’t used to it. I have days I think of traitorously moving to a warmer clime.

We just hunkered in and waited it out. Neither of us know how to drive on ice and snow.

We didn’t leave the house for 4 days and thankfully were well stocked with food & supplies. By Day 5 the sheet of ice over our driveway had mostly melted so we could finally get to the car! 🚗
We had over 5.5″ of rain in our rain gauge and low temps of 14 & 17° a couple of nights. That’s nothing compared to the foot of snow and single digit low temps you had to endure ~ Bless your heart! 💜🥶♥️🌨️ ☃️

Yes, but that ice is no picnic, and nobody can drive on that without tire chains. And those are horrible temperatures if you don’t get acclimatized to them. I’m glad you just hunkered down. My cat likes it when I stay home.

I eat a lot of Salmon from HEB, salads with olive oil and eggs, I also wash it all down with good whiskey.

Hey, I just thought of it: I make saurkraut and kimchi now, and fermented or pickled beets. It’s made a world of difference in the digestive tract; no more acid reflux. They say that Julius Ceasar never went anywhere without a barrel of saurkraut; kept him moving.
It was -9 degrees this morning at eight o’ clock. Unbelievable.

Absolutely! Fermented foods, including Kefir, Yogurt and some cheeses, along with the afore – mentioned kimchee & sauerkraut, make your Good gut bacteria very happy! 😁
I can’t even fathom -9° weather! Hopefully you’re stocked up on fire wood and warm blankets. 🔥 🪵

Both the firewood and the warm blankets, and hot food. Somedays I can’t fathom these temperatures either.
