Fear is a universal phenomenon and present in all cultures and societies, the truth is that it can take different forms.

There are many types of fear, including:
● Specific phobias (intense fear of a specific object or situation),
● Social phobia (fear of social situations),
● Agoraphobia (fear of situations where escape might be difficult).
These fears can cause significant distress and often lead individuals to avoid the feared objects or situations altogether.
There are some fears inherent to human beings and with a practically instinctive component, such as: darkness, uncertainty or death. However, the vast majority of fears are learned through associative learning or classical conditioning.

Ok. So now I will know to tell my dog, “You just have a bad case of keraunophobia. Get out from under that bed and come over here.” I suspect that will do as much good as telling liberals to be reasonable when they hear of the successes of Trump.

That’s really good, and let’s add another one: Fear of Trump!
I knew a lady who was so afraid of thunder and lightning that she made her husband sit on the cellar stairs with her till the storm was over.
I had a dog once who was so scared of storms she cowered under the bed, too, and chewed up the dust cover. You can’t reason with fear, that’s for sure. You have to distract it.

I’m afraid this is a delightfully tongue-in-cheek post, y’all. Gotta love ‘fear of being watched by a duck.’

It’s interesting to learn I had a clinical fear-ereuthrophobia. I used to light up like a torch if anyone even dared to glance my way. Great list! 🙂

My worst one was, Momaphobia, fear of having my ass busted with a 9×12 Tupperware cake holder.
