My favorite (and most trustful) television news anchor ever, Chris Marrou, had plenty to say about the June 27, 2024 CNN presidential debate between Donald J. Trump and Joe Biden.
Rene Marrou, is his real name (a San Antonio Robert E. Lee High School classmate of his, Jim Harvey, a retired Kerrville police officer told me), but generations of south central Texans know him by Chris.
(By the way, I understand wokeness permeated the school district to change the “Robert E. Lee” to just Lee High School now).
For those who missed the debate, or would like a refresher of the highlights, here is just about all you need to know:
On his substack, MARROU ON MEDIA, he begins with almost a play-by-play account of Biden’s blunders in “Biden snoozes, we loses.”
“Biden’s debate performance makes us wish we’d slept through it.“
“Last night, Joe Biden showed us why he should not be re-elected,” Marrou begins. “Oh, excuse me, why he shouldn’t be elected for the first time, because we all know he sure as hell didn’t get 81 million votes in 2020.
“The first presidential debate Thursday made Biden look old and weak, stiffly walking out to his lectern and beginning his first answer with an callback to Scranton, Pennsylvania, as if anyone cares about Biden’s fictionalized boyhood at this point.
“At 8:12 (Central Time) Biden had his next bad moment in the debate, running into a conversational wall and standing looking vacant, staring downward, ending his statement with “we finally beat Medicare.”
“At 8:17 he got mixed up and called someone an immigrant rapper.
“At 8:22 he stood, looking stoned, seemingly out of it.
“At 8:31 Biden garbled an answer about Iran and the Afghanistan pullout, saying he’d pulled “100 thousand Americans out of Afghanistan” (we had a total of 100 thousand troops there—13 years ago).

I liked Trump’s ad and the article Marrou wrote with the play by play. That debate proved that the left is involved in the biggest coverup in U.S. History–hiding Joe’s ill health for four years. It should be investigated by the FBI but, of course, they are in on it.
