The first couple wanted to adopt Belle, but she refused to come out of the cage with them.
It was weird because dogs usually can’t wait to leave the kennel. She was crying and stubbing her paws. Maybe they should have dragged her out, but when another couple looked down they understood the reason and decided to make a CHOICE.
“When the time came to take her to her new home she was just out of that cage, from that moment a new world awaited her, a wonderful life and a lot of love.”
Any other dog would have run into the embrace of her first rescuers. But Belle did not. She stood still, sticking to all fours, and refused to come out of the cage.

In a corner, a small Chihuahua, Taco, looked at her in fear. She understood that she was about to lose her best friend. And in that moment a small miracle happened.
The second couple saw the whole scene and decided to adopt them both. They did the documents also for the chihuahua and together both dogs went out the door of the shelter.
The experience was an emotional one in a good way. We are sure these two dogs, Taco and Belle, are enjoying a happy life full of love because of these two wonderful people.

Meanwhile, scholarly scientists everywhere are still coming out with studies and articles on , “Do Dogs Really Have Emotions?” I say a story is a testimony, and a testimony is admissable anywhere but in Science; they call it “only anecdotal.” But I sure don’t know how you discover emotions with a scalpel. Open hearts work. This is a wonderful story, and that photo is a heart grabber.
