Unexpected Asbury Revival 2023 Reaches Worldwide Interests

In a world where our youth has experienced forced vaccinations, masking, record breaking suicides and government control gone (what some describe as) Satanistic-like, students, visitors and onlookers around the world are taking a stand with Jesus Christ for love and answers.

Today marks Day 8 for what is being deemed Asbury Revival 2023, where students on February 8th first gathered in Kentucky Asbury University for their biweekly chapel service in the 1,500-seat Hughes Auditorium.

The gatherings also come at a time when many young organized religion activities face the odds of recent studies say that 43% of adults under 30 never attend service.

“They sing,” Tim Bennett, an attendee who said there were students there last night and this morning, explained. “They listen to sermons. They pray. It’s been continual.”

The revival has brought national attention–it was even reported on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program–to Asbury, an evangelical Christian school in Wilmore, Kentucky, about a half-hour outside of Lexington.

Clips of students singing, weeping and praying have been posted on social media, leading to growing praise from onlookers. News of the revival has also drawn students and other visitors to the campus to take part in the ongoing prayer and worship.

“We’ve been here in Hughes Auditorium for over a hundred hours — praying, crying, worshipping and uniting — because of Love,” wrote Alexandra Presta, editor of The Asbury Collegian, the school’s student newspaper. “We’ve even expanded into Estes Chapel across the street at Asbury Theological Seminary and beyond. I can proclaim that Love boldly because God is Love.”

The event takes place at the college’s Hughes Memorial Auditorium. Constructed in 1929, it can hold nearly 1500 and is home to the famous spontaneous revival on February 3, 1970, which is similar to the current 2023 occasion.

“The service continues to grow with no indication of letting up,” Bennett added. “It’s orderly. People are patient and kind. There is a strong gentleness in the air. There are no fog machines or colorful flashing lights to hypnotize or stir things up. This is the real deal. Many new people come from other universities and other states. We need this. I hope it grows.”

Classes continue, but Asbury University’s president, Dr Kevin Brown, said that the faculty is “being very flexible and understanding if students would rather be at the chapel that in class.”

The February 1970 event continued for 144 unbroken hours (six days), but the longest Asbury revival took place in February 1908 for two weeks.

Local churches are experiencing more inquiries and had higher than average attendance on Sunday.

Many of the nation’s colleges were founded by church groups that hoped revivals would be a regular experience in the lives of students, said Andrea Turpin, associate professor of history at Baylor University. For some students, she said, the revivals were a place to experience religious conversion, while others may have experienced a deepening of their faith at such revivals.

“February 3 a train crash in Ohio threatens to poison the entire Ohio river valley when a rail car bursts and spills poison.

“February 7 the Holy Spirit bursts out among the students at a small Methodist College in Kentucky, 400 miles down the Ohio River.

“The fires have died in Ohio, but the Methodists are still burning.
    Kinsman Redeemer.
    Look it up.”

I say this in faith: the Holy Ghost Fire at the Asbury Revival is well able to burn up all of the toxins in the Ohio River Valley. Glory to God in the Highest!

Jesus Christ IS our Kinsman Redeemer.

  2. Our nation and our youth have been under spiritual attack for years, now they are taking back their faith and their lives, this revival proves that God is orchestrating this event. Who know when, or if it will end, and it will spread to other schools and churches. Satan beware, we are coming for you, and Hollywood will be a good place to start, then on to the music business, and so on. My wife and I are attending a prayer meeting in a private home Saturday evening. Ted Cruz’s father will be there to tell his story about Cuba and share his vision of America and a bit about his son.
