‘They want to stop people like Mark from praying…’

“Friday morning, pro-life advocate Mark Houck’s family was terrified when dozens of heavily armed FBI agents in 15 vehicles showed up at 7 AM,” Graham noted. “The seven children were in tears as they witnessed guns pointed at their parents and their father was taken away in handcuffs. All of this because Mark Houck protected his oldest son from a Planned Parenthood volunteer.”

“According to the family, Mark was at a peaceful demonstration with his 12-year-old son when the abortion advocate started saying crude and vulgar things to them. The family says the protester came too close to the boy, and that’s when Mark pushed the man back and he fell.”

“One state senator wrote, ‘The continued weaponization of the FBI and persecution by Joe Biden’s DOJ against ordinary Americans is an outrage.’ I agree. Cases like this are about all of us. They could be knocking on any of our doors.”

“Another congressman wrote, ‘The FBI has turned into Biden’s secret police force. Sending a small army of heavily armed agents to raid Mark Houck’s home should frighten EVERY American. The FBI using fear and intimidation tactics to go after conservatives needs to END!!'”

Houck pleaded not guilty in a Philadelphia federal court Tuesday while his attorney, Peter Breen, noted the case already made its way through the state court process and was thrown out but that the Biden Department of Justice took up the matter nearly a year later as a form of “political prosecution.” Of the estimated 20 FBI agents who came to Houck’s home, Breen said the DOJ is treating the peaceful father of seven children “as if he was a drug lord or a mafia boss.”

“If he was truly a danger to the community, they wouldn’t have waited a year to prosecute,” Breen, vice president and senior counsel of the Thomas More Society, said outside the courthouse. “Serious questions need to be asked of the attorney general. What was he thinking? Why did they do this obscene show of force against a peaceful pillar of the community?”

“This is a political prosecution,” Breen said. “And what’s clear from the Department of Justice at its highest levels, which is directing this case, [is] that they are trying to send a message to pro-life and people of faith: ‘Don’t mess with us.’ They want to intimidate — they want to cause good people like Mark to stop praying and counseling at the abortion clinics of our country. And that’s not going to happen.”
