  1. I pine for the good old days of the 1950s when I was a kid and didn’t know any of this crap. I was happy until I started watching the television news cast. I must admit, I liked Walter, Chet and Huntly. Walter reminded me of my late grandfather and Chet was a dead ringer for my neighbor Mr. Cohen, who was a jewish fellow that survived the concentration camps. Kids are inquesitive by nature, so one day I asked Mr. Cohen what the number on his arm meant. He replied that it was his phone number so if he was ever hit by a car the cops could call his wife. Made sense to me.
