Polar Opposites, Washington & Florida Governors Take Strong Actions on Biden COVID Mandates

Lawsuit File Against Washington State While Florida Vows to Protect Citizens Freedoms

Washington state police officers, firefighters, corrections officers, transit workers, and other government employees banded together to file a lawsuit today against Democratic Governor Jay Inslee over one of most restrictive mandates in U.S. history.

Inslee is demanding that state employees get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 18 or lose their jobs.

The lawsuit was filed on September 10 at the Walla Walla County superior court and listed more than 90 plaintiffs, according to the filing. The suit contends that Inslee’s order violates their constitutional rights and oversteps the governor’s legal authority.

Even though the order includes some token medical and religious exemptions, the suit said the state made religious exemptions “as narrow as possible.”

The order had led “their religious sincerity [to be] questioned,” according to the suit.

Others said they should be exempt from vaccination on the grounds that they tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.

“The penalties for not taking affirmative action to comply with the Governor’s Mandate are overly severe, punitive, and unconscionable,” the filing read.

“The penalty is further arbitrary and capricious were not tailored to those state employees with natural immunity by virtue of prior infection and/or the ability to perform their duties from home.”

Inslee joined other states in instituting a vaccine mandate directed at state employees last month, but the difference in his mandate is the fact that employees can be fired. Most other areas permitted employees to avoid vaccination if they agreed to undergo regular testing.

Republican DeSantis

Meanwhile, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida vowed to fight current White House Resident Joe Biden over his vaccine mandates.

Today, DeSantish warned Florida businesses that they would be charged if they ask customers for proof of vaccination.

Speaking in Alachua County, DeSantis slammed Biden’s vaccine requirements and said they ignored the science regarding people’s natural immunity after being infected with COVID-19.

DeSantis and fellow elected officials committed to their stance by banning so-called vaccine passports or requiring proof of vaccination through both an executive order and a law. That rule is going into effect on September 16.

DeSantis emphasized that cities or counties in Florida that require public government employees to get vaccinated to keep their jobs will be charged $5,000 for every single violation, with violators at risk of paying millions of dollars in fines.

“We are going to stand for the men and women who are serving us. We are going to protect Florida jobs,” the governor said. “We are not going to let people be fired because of a vaccine mandate.”

As of Monday, 27 states have joined together against the Biden mandates.

  1. I may be wrong, but in the right hands a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 could be filled against any party forcing an employee or any citizen to receive The Jab or to be denied EQUAL Service or Rights because of refusing the Jab. The rationale? Congress has established a Separate But Equal Status situation by exempting themselves.
