Remembering the Alamo and Jill Biden’s Taco-Gate Insult to Hispanics

The closest any Biden has appeared near the U.S.-Mexican Border while residing in the White House (as of this writing) was in July 2022. It was 145 miles away from the border in San Antonio, Texas. It wasn’t Joe who appeared. Nor was it Hunter. The dubious honor went to Jill Biden.

In Texas, Republican Mayra Flores won a special election for the 34th Congressional District in June.

That was a seat that Democrats had held for more than a century. The district, which stretches from San Antonio down to the Rio Grande Valley on the Texas-Mexico border, is mostly Hispanic.

So in July, Jill Biden flew into the Alamo City to tell a crowd of progressive Hispanics that the diversity of their community is “as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.”

“Did she just say that we being as unique as a breakfast taco is our strength?” Linda Castillo asked her friend, Catrina Chapa.

“No wonder we are ditching the Democrats,” Chapa responded as the ladies near them high-fived each other. People in the crowd noticed and felt insulted.

“First the Bidens put us in danger with an invasion of illegal aliens coming through the border and now they insult us by calling us Tacos,” Castillo responded.

Others noticed, including the National Association of Hispanic Journalists who called out Biden for her remarks in a statement, saying it “demonstrates a lack of cultural knowledge and sensitivity to the diversity of Latinos in the region.”

“NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and communities. We are not tacos. Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by a variety of diasporas, cultures and food traditions, and should not be reduced to a stereotype.”

Soon others joined in on Jill’s very own TACO-GATE.

“First there was ‘FJB.’ Then there was ‘Let’s Go Brandon,'” Chapa noted. “She just started her own ‘TACO-GATE” and the Bidens are going to learn you don’t call us Tacos. Never! Let the festivities begin.”

Here is a sampling of the “festivities”:

After Media’s Treatment of Melania Trump Let’s Consider the First Ladies They Cherished

Mainstream media continues to be shamefully biased, fake and unprofessional–especially when it comes to the beautiful Melania Trump.

🔹Why did Vogue not want Mrs. Trump on the cover of their magazine while she was our First Lady?

🔹It was a dirty game of disrespect and media politics.

🔹Five months into Joe Biden’s White House residency, Jill Biden appeared on the cover.

🔹Former First Lady Michelle Obama was on the cover three times.

🔹Hilary Clinton was on the cover during her time as the first lady.

🔹Vice President Kamala Harris was on the cover before even being sworn in.

🔹Has the FBI ever raided any First Lady’s bedroom in their history? Not until their perverted search of her clothes at Mar-a-Lago.

Now let’s take at least as charitable a look at the First Ladies who media kissed up to. This article features Michelle Obama. Right off the bat, can you see the difference?

An Uncharitable Look at Jill Biden’s Media Fakery

Who can forget how spiteful the media, magazines and Hollywood treated Melania Trump as First Lady?

They seem to be trying hard to give Jill Biden a pass, but most Americans can see through the fakery.

Melania Trump Maintains Dignity Despite a Relentlessly Shameful Media

Throughout history, several first ladies – notably, Rachel Jackson, Mary Todd Lincoln, Edith Wilson, Eleanor Roosevelt and Nancy Reagan – were attacked or criticized on personal or political grounds, sometimes viciously so by newspapers, developed media, and their husbands’ political foes.

Mainstream media continues to be shamefully biased, fake and unprofessional–especially when it comes to the beautiful Melania Trump.

Why did Vogue not want Mrs. Trump on the cover of their magazine while she was our First Lady?

It was a dirty game of disrespect and media politics.

Unlike Melania Trump, none of these ladies had modeled before.

During Donald J. Trump’s presidency, the White House itself proudly listed the first lady’s previous credits, noting: “She has graced the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, British GQ, Ocean Drive, Avenue, In Style, and New York Magazine. Her major layouts include the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Allure, Vogue, Self, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Elle.”

It was obvious before President Trump’s spectacular inauguration, mainstream media would be vicious, shameful and disrespectful. When asked about their double standard, especially with Melania having a background in business and fashion, she responded:

“They’re biased and they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious. And I think American people and everyone sees it. It was their decision, and I have much more important things to do — and I did in the White House — than being on the cover of Vogue.”

The contemptible media, including liberal fashion publications, showed their bias by pulling out all the stops for Michelle Obama when she served as first lady from 2009 to 2017.

During her husband’s eight-year presidency, Michelle appeared on at least 30 U.S. magazine covers, three of which were Vogue. She also appeared twice on the covers of Essence magazine, Time magazine, More magazine and Glamour magazine. Other covers included Redbook, InStyle, and Radar,

During her tenure as first lady, Melania only graced one magazine cover — Vanity Fair Mexico — just in her first month at the White House in February 2017

“If the Trumps were Democrats, Melania would be on every cover of every chic women’s magazine in the world every month,” notable actor James Woods tweeted (and subsequently retweeted over 20,000 times by those who agree with him).

Woods was one of a handful of celebrities to defend the first lady as it was standard practice for media pundits, editors and commentators to belittle, criticize, or undermine Mrs. Trump.

Compared to their glowing coverage of Michelle Obama (and continuing to today), the press were like wicked stepsisters treating Melania like a torn and downtrodden Cinderella.

It is ironic, since Mrs. Trump is a mother, businesswoman and former high fashion model who has been nothing but poised and gracious on the global stage as our First Lady.

Even NBC News’ own media analyst Claire Atkinson, during Trump’s tenure said that there was “a clear reluctance among editors to put themselves in the cross-hairs of the culture wars” by featuring Melania— despite her stature as a versatile and engaged public figure who speaks five languages and has consistently higher favorability ratings than any previous First Lady (except for Jackie Kennedy).

Melania spent considerable time visiting service members, children’s hospitals, immigration facilities, newborn intensive care units, and drug abuse treatment centers.

🔹She participated in Toys for Tots drives.

🔹She accompanied her husband in welcoming many foreign heads of state to the White House.

🔹She visited hurricane devastated areas along with the President, and supported recovery efforts there.

🔹She attended state funerals.

🔹She comforted the families of mass shooting events, and thanked in person our first responders.

🔹She was the principle mover behind an effort to get young people to be more civil to each other, especially online, where incivility and bullying is rampant.

Basically mainstream media coverage of her efforts were ignored, or they focused on humiliation and trivial matters. They criticize her clothes, her shoes, sometimes even her accent. Rather than commend her for trying to get children to be more civil to each other online, they were relentless to criticize her along the way.
