President Donald J. Trump, during his State of the Union Address on February 24, 2026, emphasized he “will always put the American people first” and that includes his unwavering commitment to an America First foreign policy.
Through bold actions rooted in Peace Through Strength, President Trump has ended conflicts, dismantled threats, and rebuilt U.S. military dominance, making the world safer for Americans and restoring respect for the United States on the global stage.
Ending Wars and Fostering Peace
As the “President of Peace,” President Trump has successfully ended eight long-standing conflicts, including those between Israel and Hamas, Israel and Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ethiopia, Pakistan and India, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, Kosovo and Serbia, and Cambodia and Thailand.
Meanwhile, President Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan secured the release of all remaining hostages. It established a Board of Peace for regional security and prosperity. The plan paved the way for lasting stability in the Middle East.

He successfully pressured Panama to withdraw from China’s Belt and Road Initiative. He achieved a ceasefire with Houthi terrorists in Yemen to restore safe navigation in the Red Sea. Additionally, he redesignated the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
Countering Terrorism and Securing Borders
U.S. forces under President Trump’s direction eliminated key ISIS and Al-Qaeda leaders. They arrested the ISIS-K terrorist behind the Abbey Gate attack. The Trump Administration also designated multiple Latin American cartels and Muslim Brotherhood branches as terrorist organizations.
Releasing Americans and Protecting Citizens
President Trump has secured the release of dozens of detained Americans abroad, including hostages from Venezuela, Afghanistan, Hamas, Russia, and Belarus.
Reforming Foreign Aid and Diplomacy
President Trump banned funding to UNRWA due to its ties to Hamas. He imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court for overreach. He reinstated the Mexico City Policy to prevent taxpayer dollars from supporting foreign abortions. He ordered U.S. embassies to fly only the American flag. He directed the State Department to always put America First, ensuring diplomats align with U.S. interests.
Revitalizing the U.S. Military
The armed forces have achieved their best recruiting numbers in 15 years, with President Trump reinstating discharged service members from the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, barring transgender enlistments, and restoring traditional names to military bases like Fort Bragg and Fort Benning.
President Trump’s America First approach has not only deterred adversaries, but also forged new partnerships — making the world safer and America more secure.
