“🌟Person of the Month: January 🌟
This month, Helotes Life is proud to recognize Cynthia Leal Massey for her decades of dedication to our community.
Cynthia served 16 years on Helotes City Council, playing a key role during periods of growth while consistently advocating for the preservation of Helotes’ character and heritage.
Beyond City Hall, she has been deeply involved with the Historical Society of Helotes helping preserve and share the stories, landmarks, and people that define our city. Her passion for local history extends into her work as an author and historian, having written multiple award-winning books focused on Texas and regional history, blending careful research with powerful storytelling.
Through public service, historical preservation, and the written word, Cynthia has helped ensure that Helotes’ past is honored as its future unfolds. January is the perfect time to recognize community members whose long-term commitment continues to shape who we are today.
👏 Thank you, Cynthia, for your lasting contributions to Helotes.”
