Walz’s Rhetoric Sparks Controversy in Minnesota Schools

Minneapolis school employees indicate “whistle packs” are being handed out at every school in the district.

“We are directed to follow instructions in the flyer if we spot ICE near or in the school,” an employee said.

Meanwhile, Minnesota House Floor Leader Harry Niska deemed that Democrat Gov. Tim Walz’s “extreme and reckless rhetoric makes everyone less safe, fans the flames of hate and division, and emboldens Minnesotans to interfere with and attack federal law enforcement.”

“We must speak thoughtfully, especially in times of crisis. Time and again, Governor Walz has failed that test,” says Niska, noting that Walz has said Minnesota is “at war” with the federal government.

This week, Walz continues encouraging people to continue confronting ICE agents.

“Across the country, thousands of criminal illegal immigrants are arrested and deported every day without riots, without chaos,” Niska emphasized.

“Here in Minnesota, the solution is straightforward. Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and other elected leaders should end sanctuary policies and cooperate with federal law enforcement.”

Additional reports of widespread fraud in Minnesota’s taxpayer-funded programs are headed straight into the congressional spotlight next week. Lawmakers are preparing to hear from a former fraud investigator. They will also hear from the YouTuber whose videos ignited a national reckoning.

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance will hold a hearing Wednesday, Jan. 21, titled “When Public Funds Are Abused: Addressing Fraud and the Theft of Taxpayer Dollars.”

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., will chair the session that will be streamed live on YouTube and X.
