The last time 83-year-old music legend Paul McCartney played the Alamodome in San Antonio was at the venue’s opening in 1993.
It was an awesome night back then but his return appearance there on October 25, 2025 was even more stunning.
McCartney and his fourpiece band powered through 35 songs, including 20 Beatles cuts ranging from power-pop classics like āDrive My Car,ā and āLove Me Doā to deep cuts such as āIn Spite of All the Danger,ā (their debut demo as the Quarrymen) and the most psychedelic (āFor the Benefit of Mr. Kite!ā).

Paul, of course, was the first love of my life. At eight years old. He’s doing great at 83; just loves his music and keeps playing.

My son took my grandson to the show. I haven’t heard back from him, They drove from Corpus Christi.
