Citizens Against Government Waste named Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) the September 2025 Porker of the Month for holding taxpayers hostage to his reckless spending spree.
Instead of agreeing to the budget passed by the state legislature, Gov. Shapiro is demanding billions more in wasteful programs. He is also raiding the Rainy-Day Fund. These funds will be used to bail out failing transit systems and hike energy taxes. Ultimately, this forces school districts to raise property taxes.
A minion for Barack Obama, Shapiro’s demands have plunged Pennsylvania into a three-month budget crisis. This disruption affects vital services. Hardworking families are stuck with the bill.Ā
