A Special Report

Definition of a Spring Movement: “any of a number of student or special interest protests, revolutionary political movements or revolutionary waves.”
To understand recent controversial changes in the Catholic Church, we have to go back to just before the 2016 elections, when Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump looked to be the nominees for the United States presidency.

Wikileaks suddenly posted emails from 2012 involving Clinton’s campaign chief, John Podesta, at a time of significant Catholic controversy over mandatory health plan coverage of contraception.
One of Podesto’s emails responded to Sandy Newman’s suggestion of a “Catholic Spring” revolution within the Church which, in Newman’s vivid words, wrote, “Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic church.”
Podesta, a former chief of staff for President Bill Clinton, replied: “We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up.”

Recall that in the previous year, 2015, videos were released showing Planned Parenthood’s involvement in the illegal sale of aborted baby parts.
Caught in a serious situation, Catholics in Alliance’s then-executive director Christopher Hale voiced strong criticism of the abortion provider caught selling human parts.

In various interviews with Hale in late 2016, Hale said his organization had changed emphasis in recent years, speaking out more against abortion than it had in the past.
He said that Podesta’s opinion and work with Hillary Clinton did not reflect the daily work of the organization and rejected their claims about concerns with “the internal politics of the Catholic Church.”
Hale sought to distinguish the organization’s work from its NGO and Soros affiliated funders, saying “we work with people who disagree with a lot of the work we do.”

The Podesta emails were posted to Wikileaks at a critical time in the 2016 election.
The 267th Pope
Although Cardinal Robert Francis Provost was elected Thursday as Pope Leo XIV, the 267th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church and the first pope from the United States, his political leanings may be in concert with New World Order globalists.

● He is extremely tight with higher ranking members of the United Nations and said to have an excellent relationship with UN administrators due to several years of managing the Augustinian NGO.
● He essentially wiped out all “right-wing” Catholic organizations in Latin America from his role as president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.
“While the corporate media hails Leo XIV as a centrist, a deeper dive into his public statements and social media activity reveals a different story: this pope is unabashedly pro-open borders and has openly criticized conservative leaders—most notably, Vice President J.D. Vance—for standing up for American sovereignty,” wrote Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit.

“Vice President J.D. Vance, a vocal advocate for enforcing U.S. immigration law, has long argued that love for one’s neighbor must begin with defending one’s family and country from policies that encourage lawlessness and human trafficking,” Hoft observed.
● Cardinal Prevost, in his capacity as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops, was instrumental in the elimination of conservative clergy and selecting left leaning priests to be elevated to Bishoprics loyal to Francis’ vision.
● He was instrumental in eliminating the Latin Mass on behalf of Francis.
● He was opposed to “gender ideology” in 2012, but he has not mentioned anything about it in recent years. He has said that church members should be “free to express who they are” in Church.
● He is a major proponent of mass migration and open borders – even having won an award and praise for supporting Venezuelan migrants.

● He worked closely with George Soros’ Open Society Foundations in his missionary capacity and thereafter.
“Both Prevost and the Open Society Foundations share a commitment to social justice and supporting those who are marginalized or in need. Prevost’s support for Francis’s vision of greater openness and reform within the Church, as well as his own advocacy for social issues, aligns with the Open Society Foundations’ work.”

In March 2019, Soros’ Open Society Foundations selected Tom Perriello – a former congressman, pro-abortion rights gubernatorial candidate and co-founder of controversial Catholic political groups linked to John Podesta amid speculation of a “Catholic Spring” revolution against the bishops would oversee grantmaking and advocacy for the U.S. programs.

“Protecting his president has always been John Podesta’s real job,” wrote Judicial Watch in October 2022. “As far back as the Bill Clinton presidency, Podesta ran the cover-up of the ‘Travel Office affair’—a failed attempt by Hillary Clinton to fire the staff of the White House Travel Office and replace them with Clinton cronies.”
“Thanks to Mrs. Clinton, the director of the Travel Office was indicted on embezzlement charges and left to twist in the wind for more than two years, until a jury swiftly acquitted him of all charges.”

“In 1998, he was named chief of staff and helped manage the Clinton defense in the Monica Lewinsky debacle, impeachment, and a scandal over presidential pardons.”
Perriello served in Congress from 2009-2011, then served as president of the Center for American Progress Action Fund, the political wing of the Podesta-founded Center for American Progress.
As part of their funding collaborative with the Proteus Fund, the foundations helped gay marriage become legally recognized in the U.S.
The foundations funded groups seeking to use Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S. to influence the 2016 elections and to cultivate influence within the Catholic Church. These include Faith in Public Life, which foundation documents describe as a partner organization with Catholics in Alliance.
Catholics in Alliance itself received at least $450,000 in funding from the Open Society Foundations, then known as the Open Society Institute, from 2006 to 2010.
An internal foundations document from 2009 cited the group’s key role in influencing Barack Obama’s controversial 2009 Notre Dame speech, and praised its campaigns that “broadened the agenda” of Catholic voters to see abortion as just one of several election issues.

Ahead of the 2012 election, Catholics United told pastors of Florida Catholic churches they had a network of volunteers monitoring election-related speech in churches for reputed illegal political activity.
Local Catholic leaders said said was “an attempt to silence pastors on issues that are of concern to the Church this election season.”
The same group criticized the Knights of Columbus for its work to support civil marriage as a union of only a man and a woman.

Monies have been funneled through various Non-Government-Organizations (NGOs):
- Catholic Campaign for Human Development
- Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC)
- Catholics for a Free Choice
- Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good
- Catholics United
The Soros’ Open Society Foundations have given millions to the Center for American Progress, which it considers “the most influential think tank in our funding universe. According to the foundations’ internal documents, the center also enjoyed support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Humanity United Fund, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Ford Foundation, among others.
“Few persons have done more damage to free societies than George Soros, the Hungarian-born billionaire,” wrote Bill Donohue for the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights in 2022. “Yet in left-wing circles, (he) is regarded as a hero. That may have something to do with the fact that his Open Society Foundations have been greasing them for decades.”

“Soros’ fans in the media and education consider him to be a champion of social justice causes. In reality, he is doing more harm to African Americans today than any single person in the nation.”
“His war on blacks stems from his funding of local D.A.’s who go easy on violent criminals—these attorneys are a main reason why there has been a big spike in crime in urban areas—and by opposing educational reforms, such as charter schools and school choice,” Donohue explained. “Similarly, he supports the legalization of drugs, and the open borders’ policies that facilitate it.”
“No one person in the United States has funded more Catholic dissident organizations than Soros,” Donohue revealed. “In actuality, these entities are more like letterheads than organizations. They typically have no members and some would not exist without Soros’ backing. It’s a shell game—they were founded to weaken the moral authority of the bishops by convincing Catholics and non-Catholics alike of the legitimacy of dissident voices.”

Thank you for this informative article. It is great. I didn’t know these things. He is from Chicago. IMO, Chicago has been nothing but a curse to this country and this world and all of the prominent people that come from Chicago have been evil. However. I could be wrong so I am keeping an open mind. Jesus said that “a tree is known by its fruits”. Fruit takes time to be produced. I have read that Cardinal Dolan created the consensus that led to the election of Pope Leo. If true, then he is responsible for it whether for good or evil.
