Liberal Gay San Antonio City Council Member Says No to More Police

Known as El Conservador, radio host and political commentator George H. Rodriguez is a trusted spokesperson for many southcentral Texans.

A White House appointee in the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush Administrations, Hernandez  is also a blogger and guest contributor on Fox News, Univision, and other national TV and radio networks.

In 2011, he became president of the San Antonio Tea Party and has been a conservative activist. He frequently speaks about the border crisis, police/community relations, and the Fake News.

Rodriguez issued important commentary this week that fortifies the fact that liberal Democrats are anti-law enforcement.

In a post, San Antonio City Council member “warns” against hiring more police, Rodriguez explains:

“On Tuesday, April 15, San Antonio police Chief William McManus reported to a City Council committee that violent crime is down 19.3% for the first quarter, from January through March, which he called ‘a significant drop.'”

“The report resulted in two city council members proposing hiring more police officers,” he continued. “However, District 2 city council member Jalen McKee-Rodriguez (a Black Lives Matter, anti-police activist) warned against over-policing, noting that some communities in San Antonio, including his district, do not feel safer with more officers on the streets.”

“Imagine the stupidity of blaming police for fear and crime on your streets!” Rodriguez noted. “It shows the upside-down thinking of liberals, leftists, and racist-Marxists.
Common sense says that criminals are the people who mostly do not feel safe with more police officers on the street.”

“Furthermore, why did they want to cut off the microphones during the council’s ‘heated discussion’? Where is the city’s transparency regarding discussions and decisions?,” he asked.

“If the liberals on the city council do not want to hire more police, then police officers should be removed from their districts and assigned to patrol areas where they are welcomed and supported,” Rodriguez offered.

“Regardless of whether the city and the SAPD chief want to admit it or not, crime is high, and people do not feel safe from crime. It’s time to punish criminals instead of excusing them because of race and income.
If you excuse and tolerate crime, you get more and worse crime.”

“Wake up, San Antonio. The police are being ‘defunded’ by a backdoor approach, and your safety is at risk.
