During his Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing, Kash Patel dropped undeniable receipts on how Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Bowser declined National Guard troops before January 6, 2021, despite multiple warnings about potential security threats.
President Donald Trump had authorized up to 20,000 National Guard troops days in advance of
Capitol Police.
Under Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s leadership, they rejected multiple offers of National Guard assistance.
Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declined the offers in writing, explicitly stating she did not want additional National Guard support.
The Sergeant at Arms, reporting to Pelosi & Schumer, also shut down security requests.
During the Senate hearing, Texas Senator Ted Cruz asked revealing questions.
●Ted Cruz: How many days in advance was the Department of Defense preparing to secure the Capitol?
■ Kash Patel: Days ahead, we were in the Oval Office with President Trump, the Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, where the President authorized the National Guard to assist with any security concerns.
● Ted Cruz: How many times did DOD approach Capitol Police to offer National Guard support?
■ Kash Patel: Numerous times, and each time, these requests were shut down.
● Ted Cruz: Who did the Capitol Police Sergeant at Arms report to?
■ Kash Patel: Nancy Pelosi.
● Ted Cruz: Did Mayor Bowser request or allow National Guard assistance?
■ Kash Patel: No, she put it in writing—A DECLINATION—days before J6, rejecting National Guard troops.
● Ted Cruz: Just to clarify, that means she specifically told the Department of Defense, “Do NOT send National Guard”?
■ Kash Patel: Yes, sir.
●Ted Cruz: Do you condemn violence against law enforcement?
■ Kash Patel: All of it.
Pelosi, Schumer, and Bowser ignored security warnings, rejected the National Guard, and continue to blame Trump supporters to push their political narrative. They didn’t just fail to protect the Capitol—they engineered the conditions that led to chaos and used it as an excuse to target patriots.
