Wisdom of Cowboys in the Art of Tim Cox

In a 1975 high school English class essay, Tim Cox wrote that one of his fondest wishes was to be a member of the Cowboy Artists of America.

Tim Cox

His wish was granted in 2007 when he was invited to join the prestigious group. After serving on the board of directors and being a member for only a few years, he served as president for 2011, 2012, and 2017. He is now an emeritus member of the organization.

We hope you enjoy this sampling of his work.

  1. Beautifully depicted collection of seasonal western paintings with thoughtfully descriptive quotes.

Different horses in some of the images, same dog. (You’re going to go back and look, aren’t you?)

  2. The art of Tim Cox I understand. Picasso, I don’t. Cox is one talented cowboy! The colors he used are stunning-and the scenes he created are up there with Norman Rockwell. Thanks for introducing your readers to his paintings. 🙂
