Note this article was updated in 2025 because of the devastating wild fires burning through California.
For the last several years, hundreds of thousands of Californians have briefly lost power in rolling blackouts amid heat waves. In 2020, the year the state forced insane pandemic mandates, it was also a return to power outages they ordered due to insufficient energy supplies in nearly 20 years.

Although California now buys electricity from other states to boost its supply, during a widespread heat wave, there’s less energy for other states to sell.
Of course, Governor Gavin Newsom and far too many of his constituents claim this is all because of their “Climate Change” mantra.
“While we are taking steps to get us through the immediate crisis,” Newsom told his masked and settled indoors followers in 2020, “this reinforces the need for urgent action to end our dependence on fossil fuels that are destroying our climate and making these heat waves hotter and more common.”

In 2023, Newsom reneged on his plans to decommission more power plants due to his woke “Climate Change” failed initiatives.
It became quite obvious, that additional electricity was needed, so now those plants that were scheduled to be decommissioned are being used during peak energy needs.
It takes a new five billion dollar budget to catch up and help boost the state’s energy supplies.
Their plan calls for creating a new “strategic electricity reliability reserve” — an extra 5,000 megawatts of emergency power that are to be tapped when the grid runs dangerously low.
“This is not the normal day. This is not the normal time of year. These are extreme conditions,” said Alice Busching Reynolds, California Public Utilities Commission.
Eating Newsom’s words about the evils of fossil fuels, their reserve will now include natural gas-powered generators that can be quickly fired up.
Even the Los Angeles Times reported Newsom’s plan “failed to direct electricity providers to buy sufficient power supplies to cover the evening hours when solar panels go offline. And they created complex energy market mechanisms that masked the inadequacies.”

In 2018, President Donald J. Trump visited the sites of forest and wildfires, and what he deemed some of the blame was due to “forest mismanagement ” and neglect.
Nichole Jolly, a nurse from Paradise who fled from a hospital that caught fire, met with Trump and said “it was wonderful to have his support, with our community.”
“I mean, during that whole time, we all felt completely helpless,” she said. “And just the fact that he wants to help, and he wants to try and figure something else out to prevent this from happening in a different community — it’s heartwarming knowing that he does care.”

California used to be one of the best places to live. San Francisco was my favorite city. You couldn’t pay me to live there now. I’m so angry at the Democrats for destroying the place, I can hardly see straight. But most people in CA are so brain-washed, they will never change.

The problem is many Californians who are disenchanted and relocate to other states bring their failed ideology. No lesson is learned.
