Veteran Owned Businesses create $1.18 billion economic impact in Texas

It is no secret that the Lone Star State is veteran friendly as their owned businesses are booming in Texas.

Their number has more than doubled since 2022 with over 24,400 as of August 2024 according to the Secretary of State’s office.

In 2022, there were 9,460 veteran owned businesses. Together, these businesses reported $1,184,446,884 in total revenue to the Texas Comptroller.

In addition to the positive economic impact for their communities, that revenue adds to State of Texas coffers. In 2022, the Texas Comptrollers Office reported veteran owned businesses generated $711,432,263 in sales tax.

  1. Thank God my father was in a Texas state-supported Veterans Home when he developed Alzheimer’s! He received good care and wasn’t charged an arm and a leg like a private nursing home. I believe Patrick Bush oversees that program.
