White House Adviser Storms Out of Press Conference After Fox News Reporter Questions Biden-Harris Hurricane Response

Biden-Harris press secretary Karine Jean-Pierreย walked out of Mondayโ€™s White House briefing when Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked a question.

His probe for an answer hit a nerve regarding  the administrationโ€™s publicly announced aid to civilians in Lebanon displaced by fighting versus Americans hit hard by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina and other Southeastern states.

See the exchange here:

Doocy asked about aid to Lebanon that was announced in a post Vice President Kamala Harris posted Saturday on the social media platform X.

โ€œI am concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there,โ€ Harris wrote.

Her quote came a day after Joe Biden’s office sent a letter to the leaders of the House and Senate asking Congress to approve funding to help the victims of Hurricane Helene.

“On this issue of funding,โ€ Doocy said. โ€œThe administration has money to send to Lebanon without Congress coming back, but Congress does have to come back to approve money to send to people in North Carolina. Do I have that right?โ€

He was referring to the nearly $157 million for refugees in Lebanon but Biden-Harris appeared to  be trying to find money for the Federal Emergency Management Agency as Hurricane Milton approaches.

Referring to a White House transcript, she spewed out the numbers of dollars previously spent in the hurricane zone before insinuating Doocy was spreading โ€œdisinformation, misinformation.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™ve taken this very seriously,โ€ Jean-Pierre, who was promoted to “Senior Adviser” just prior to the press conference, responded. โ€œMore than $200 million that we have provided to the impacted areas, but instead, people want to do disinformation, misinformation, which is dangerous.โ€

Biden said the week before that โ€œwithout additional funding, FEMA would be required to forgo longer-term recovery activities in favor of meeting urgent needs.โ€

Doocy continued to seek clarification.

โ€œNo, the way youโ€™re asking me the question is misinformation,โ€ Jean-Pierre snapped back. โ€œThere is money that we are allocating to the impacted areas, and thereโ€™s money there to help people who truly need it.โ€

โ€œYou canโ€™t call a question that you donโ€™t like โ€˜misinformation.โ€™ Thatโ€™s very unfair,โ€ Doocy countered.

At that point she called it quits and exited the room.

โ€œThanks, everybody,โ€ she said.

Her demeanor did not go unnoticed:
