When people find out we absolutely do not watch or read ANY mainstream media they find it difficult to believe.
Since November 2020, the night FOX News projected Joe Biden the winner in Arizona, we turned off the television. We have not watched television (including any legacy news media in almost four years).
This quick video of Ben Shapiro succinctly explains why we refuse to support Big Media and social engineering propaganda in general.
This is from the July 10, 2024 hearing, “Collusion in the Global Alliance for Responsible Media.” The intent was to “examine whether existing civil and criminal penalties and current antitrust law enforcement efforts are sufficient to deter anticompetitive collusion in online advertising.”

The minimal exceptions have not been for news. In passing, at an airport for instance, or dining where television screens are blaring (we usually don’t return), or visiting someone who has it on. In that case I turn away or try to ignore it because I came to visit, not watch their TV.
When traveling and staying at a hotel, it is very rare we turn the TV on. Usually, we will watch an old Andy Griffith or maybe a Gunsmoke episode, but that is about it.
At home, we do not have cable or satellite. The two channels available are not viewable because of the static. We live way out, far from any television ranges.
What has been the result?
Dodie and I are far more happy, calm and content than we have ever been. We have more time to live: nature, gardening, reading, cooking, concerts, theater, rodeos, exploring and learning. We love worshiping and learning about the Bible with our church family and loved ones.

That’s funny; I live in a hollow, where, back when TV was still android, I could only get two channels that were impossible to watch because of static. I didn’t want a TV anyway; two people who thought I couldn’t live without one brought it. Almost the only time I watched it was 911. I found movies much better for watching! Going to clean at other people’s houses or seeing in a restaurant, only made me glad, like you, that I didn’t have it. How do they stand it? They are addicted, and paralyzed by it in their minds. Good for Ben Shapiro, for going to Congress to speak about it. How does he talk that fast?

Feel exactly the same way. When I do pass by one or we have it on briefly in a hotel room, I stunned by the commercials.
