Cleaning Up Obama & Biden Energy Failures Comes With Monumental Challenges

Is Energy Secretary Compromised?

While Congress continues to dig up dirt on Joe Biden and his Crime Family, it might be a good idea to focus on his and his former boss, Barack Obama’s business dealings with energy companies. Perhaps they could look into the current Energy Secretary, too.

In November 2011, the Tonopah Solar company in Senator Harry Reid’s Nevada received a $737 million “loan” from Barack Obama’s Dept. of Energy.

The project produced a 110 megawatt power system, and employed 45 permanent workers.
The cost to American taxpayers was $16 million per job. Vice President Joe Biden helped broker the deal behind the scenes.

One of the investment partners in this endeavor was Pacific Corporate Group (PCG).

The PCG executive director was Ron Pelosi, the brother of Nancy Pelosi’s husband.

It wasn’t until President Donald Trump’s Department of Energy took over and toiled, that in July 2020, they announced that it had recovered some $200 million in taxpayer dollars loaned to another failed solar energy startup by the Obama administration.

“President Trump will always stand with the hardworking taxpayers of America,” a senior administration official said at the time, “and today’s massive $200 million settlement agreement by the Department of Energy secures taxpayer money that was squandered by the previous administration’s failed energy pet projects.”

This collapse recalled other ill-fated Obama-era investments in green energy, including the $500 million bilked out of federal coffers by failed solar panel startup Solyndra.

The Reid-Pelosi supported loan was provided through Obama’s DOE’s loan programs office, the same department that authorized Solyndra’s loan. The Tonopah Solar loan was, in fact, issued just weeks after Solyndra filed for bankruptcy.

In spite of the Obama-Biden federal support, the project quickly ran into problems, including a nearly yearlong shutdown between October 2016 and July 2017, and again in April 2019.

When Biden entered the White House in January 2021, he brought in Obama-era EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy to serve as a climate adviser to work with his woke new Secretary of Energy, Jenifer Granholm.

Granholm

In 2021, it just so happened that Granholm owned millions of dollars worth of stock in Proterra, Inc., a developer of zero-emission electric vehicles that Biden touted soon after relocating to the White House. Granholm also served on Proterra’s board of directors and maintained a formal and financial relationship with the company into 2021.

That same year, Granholm was caught selling $240,000 worth in shares of her owned stock nine times and did not disclose the sales within the legally required 45-day window, according to federal disclosure documents.

As the former governor of Michigan, Granholm lead a series of failures, despite help from her campaign finances from electric car and anti fossil fuels industries.

Granholm’s two terms as governor meant using taxpayers to finance selected businesses and industries, which resulted in more failures.

The promises didn’t work. Even though Michigan approved billions of dollars in tax credits and grants for these chosen companies, nearly every single one fell far short of the job projections hailed by the Granholm administration in press releases. And a good number of the companies went bankrupt.

Granholm

Perhaps the biggest embarrassment to her administration dealt with the “RASCO Fiasco.” Renewable and Sustainable Cos. (RASCO) was billed as a “cutting edge” green company by Richard Short, who claimed to have invested $18.5 million in a Flint location, which was enough to land a $9.1 million refundable tax credit from the state.

Gov. Granholm invited Short to share the stage with him at a press conference. It just so happened that Short was on parole. His parole officer saw the news reports and alerted officials to Short’s previous embezzlement conviction and history of scams.

Granholm’s team neglected to check Short’s background to ensure Michigan’s subsidies are economically sound.

The Michigan Economic Development Corp. said it was “embarrassed” and would tighten its screening guidelines for the tax credit program. State and local officials admitted that the day after Short’s company was granted $9 million in tax credits, that they had no idea Short was on parole in Genesee County after being sentenced in 2002 for embezzlement. He also had fraud convictions in Oakland and Genesee counties.

Just a quick online search would have revealed that the man officials approved for millions was then living in a borrowed room of a trailer. Short went back to prison and was released in March 2018.

Just as concerning was in the end, Granholm sold the idea to a reluctant constituency for their own good. But in the end, RASCO would be manufacturing and shipping renewable energy resources to help New World Order and World Economic Forum insiders bring essential services like water, power and wireless Internet, to developing nations. overseas.

During her 2010 State of the State address, Granholm named over 40 companies being helped by state incentive programs — mainly business tax credits, many “refundable” or payable to the firm in cash. She specifically cited job numbers for 17 companies. Every single one of those companies fell short of its promises.

Other Obama-Biden and Granholm failed climate change energy businesses initiated during their tenure, included Mascoma ($120 million), United Solar Ovonics ($40 million), Global Watt ($42 million), Suniva ($250 million), Azure Dynamics (at least $120 million in state and federal funds).

Other Granholm failed energy attempts included Energetx, Wixom Ford Plant, Evergreen Solar, and Swedish Biogas.

For Swedish Biogas, the king of Sweden honored Granholm as a “Commander First Class of the Royal Order of the Polar Star” for brokering a deal under which Swedish Biogas would convert the Flint municipal sewage and waste facility into one capturing biogas.

“Companies like Swedish Biogas International are transforming Michigan into the clean energy capital of North America,” Granholm boasted to friendly mainstream media outlets. “This is all part of our aggressive strategy to diversify the Michigan economy and expand our state’s clean energy capabilities to create jobs and in the process reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil.”

Then she announced a second facility was also planned for Reed City.

The problem with Granholm’s plans and expenditures was that none of it came to pass.

Soon, she was rewarded by being selected on Joe Biden’s cabinet.

  1. This energy crisis fiasco is nothing more than a DemocRat money laundering scheme. A power play. The more that comes out reveals all these reusable companies are run by political family members or liberal friends. Climate change is a hoax just as COVID 19 was. We have more energy potential in this country to support us for many hundreds of years. That would mean cheap freedom. And people that enjoy freedom can not be controlled. Energy is the driving force behind a strong robust economy. As long as the DemocRats choke off our oil supply inflation and consumer pain will continue. But unfortunately that is part of the New World Orders plan. NEWSMAX has a documentary called ” A Climate Conversation – CO2 Coalition”. It exposes the NWO lies on climate change.

  2. I could not have said what Jon Henry Miller said better. And I didn’t know half of what was in the article. They’ve had their fun demonstrating their intelligence level, aka, criminal minds, and now we get to put it all back together. Will we learn to not trust big shiny smiles and media hype, and do our homework instead?

  3. A scheme for sure and they keep getting a pass. This woman is a moronic piece of flesh. Pointing her know it all fingers at us, chastising, elitist bitch. Biden hasn’t picked one person that knows anything about the post they are supposed to be experts to hold.
