Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced he had dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday, before the New Hampshire primary, and endorsed Donald J. Trump’s return to the White House.
In a video DeSantis released from Florida on Sunday afternoon, he endorsed Trump over the last challenger, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, considered a RINO candidate for the establishment Republican Party by millions of Americans.
DeSantis said that while he has disagreements with Trump, he thinks Trump is better than Haley and certainly better than Democrat President Joe Biden.
“Ron DeSantis endorses ME!” Trump sent out a message to his supporters. “It was a hard-fought race, but now it’s time for us TO UNITE AS A PARTY AND DEFEAT JOE BIDEN!“
While DeSantis came in a distant second-place in Iowa behind Trump, he was ahead of Haley.
He and his family and team have “prayed and deliberated on the way forward,” he said. “If there was anything I could do to produce a favorable outcome — more campaign stops, more interviews — I would do it.”
“But I can’t ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources if we don’t have a clear path to victory,” he continued. “Accordingly, I am today suspending my campaign.”
“It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” DeSantis said. “They watched his presidency get stymied by relentless resistance and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him…”
“…Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden,” DeSantis acknowledged. “That is clear. I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee, and I will honor that pledge. He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear — a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism — that Nikki Haley represents. The days of putting Americans last, of kowtowing to large corporations, of caving to woke ideology, are over.”

That’s a good decision, wish he’d just done it earlier, but as long as he’s on board at last, I’m happy. Being a politician must be a calling that makes you either a true public servant or an ego driven self seeker, or at least that’s what we’ve seen lately. Any of these guys ever play team sports? You’d never have a winning team if the players operated the way Republicans have been doing.

I believe DeSantis was captain of baseball team at Yale & in Little League went to their World Series.
Trump was captain of his baseball team at New York Military Academy & played varsity soccer & football there too. He considered trying out for pro baseball but fortunately went into real estate instead.

I never understood Desantis decision to run for president. He has done a great job in Florida. Desantis should have stayed and took care of business in Florida. He should have let President Trump be his mentor and learn from him. Then become a strong presidential candidate in 2028. I still think it is possible but he has stained his reputation. President Trump will be the GOP Presidential candidate. Chris Christie will always be a cry baby and Nikki Haley is a DemocRat funded Rino. President Trump can Make America Great Again and the citizens of this great country can see that. Look at the polls. Especially after watching the Social Communist Biden admin destroying this nation.
