RETAIL APOCALYPSE

The Biden Administration economic disasters, along with massive increasing crime, continue to decimate American retailers in what is deemed a “Retail Apocalypse.”

The collapse is so fierce that in the next five to ten years, in the United States, it is projected that 13,840 clothing stores, 9,190 electronics locations, and 4,090 furniture stores will close.

Even Walmart has closed 24 locations in 2023, so far.

Rite Aid is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to financial challenges, many of which relate to the opioid crisis. This action would effectively end the lawsuits. The revelation scared investors and Rite Aid’s stock has dropped more than 50%. The chain is also expected to close over 400 locations.

Businesses across the country are suffering from key causes.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES?

1. “Bidinflation” and destructive economy.

2. Boycotting Wokeism.

3. Massive increases in dangerous retail crime (See #7).

4. Dishonest elections.

5. Irrational “Climate Change” policies and forced reduction (pipelines. drilling…) of American produced energy. Fuel costs higher.

6. Forced pandemic type mandates and forced compliance.

7.  George Soros supported District Attorneys who are soft or ignore criminal suspects.

8. Defunding police departments in Democrat controlled cities.

MORE CLOSURES

WALGREENS is set to close 150 locations in the US. Since 2020, they have planned these stores.

MACY’S department store is shuttering 120 stores in 2023.

Fellow department store JCPENNEY continues to shutter locations since it was announced 3 years ago of their bankruptcy plan to close 800 stores.

BED BATH AND BEYOND closed down all 360 stores for good in July following their Chapter 11 bankruptcy declaration earlier in the year.

BUY BUY BABY shuttered all 120 locations.

BEST BUY, once a giant for electronics, is stepping up their closure rate from the previous 15 to at least 30 more stores in 2023.

TUESDAY MORNING closed all 487 remaining stores after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year.

DAVID’S BRIDAL barely avoided a similar fate after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.

The popular wedding retailer shuttered around a third of its stores before being saved in a buyout deal.

Around 195 locations will now remain open.

PARTY CITY has closed over 40 stores so far in 2023.

BIG LOTS! has closed 12 locations.

BANANA REPUBLIC has recently closed six locations.

BURGER KING plans to close up to 400 locations by the end of 2023.

GAP has completed closing 200 out of 300 planned stores for 2023.

FOOT LOCKER experienced devastating blows as 400 closures shattered its presence in shopping centers and strip malls across the US.

 BOSTON MARKET had a major setback after the New Jersey Labor Department found that it owed more than $600,000 in back wages to employees.

The board forced the brand to close 27 locations after a nine-month-long investigation.

CHAMPS SPORTS is closing 125 stores.

PILOT gas stations have closed 19 locations across the southeast US.

MOUNTAIN EXPRESS OIL CO. (MEX) and its affiliates are ceasing operations due to Chapter 7 liquidating bankruptcy.

MEX had a network of 166 company-owned stores and 300 dealer-owned stores before going under.

STOP & SHOP supermarkets have closed some of its 57 New Jersey locations.

DILLARD’S continues to close more locations, provoking rumors that more will occur.

JC PENNEY closed 225 stores in 2020 through  2022, with the intent to close 575 more as they continue to downsize throughout 2023.
