Good morning again from Maui, where residents are being ROYALLY screwed by local, state, and federal governments.
There are COUNTLESS important issues to note, but here are just a handful:
1. The town of Lahaina is being INCREASINGLY fortified, and there are police & military checkpoints at literally every corner.
2. Residents are starting to become literally impoverished due to all the shutdowns.
3. The government has put TENS OF THOUSANDS of people out of work and countless people are about to be forced into bankruptcy.
4. Federal aid is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get.
5. THE GOVERNMENT STILL WON’T DISCLOSE THE AMOUNT OF CHILDREN MISSING OR DEAD.
6. The “official” number of people missing keeps changing and seems to be based on TOTAL LIES.
7. RESIDENTS ARE LITERALLY BEING ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO VISIT THEIR OWN HOMES.

Biden FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell says @FEMA has NO plans to provide more than $700 worth of aid per victim of the Lahaina, Hawaii fires.
Given the population of Lahaina was 13,000, that’s ONLY $1.9 MILLION TOTAL.
Meanwhile, Biden’s pushing for another $23 BILLION for Ukraine. I’ve spoken with a myriad of residents that are very much bothered by that fact.
$700 in Hawaii is almost NOTHING, as everything is much more expensive. It’s insulting, and is less than one week’s pay for most residents.
— Because the government told tourists “MAUI IS CLOSED,” so many of these folks have been laid off and no longer even have an income.
COUNTLESS PEOPLE HAVE LOST EVERYTHING.
To top it all off, FEMA OFFICIALS ARE STAYING IN $1,000/NIGHT RESORTS ON MAUI.
No wonder the @FEMA response is always DISMAL.
Biden appointed the woman spearheading NYC’s absolutely ATROCIOUS COVID policies to lead the agency.
What I see here on the ground is practically ALL volunteers. FEMA seems to have very little presence.
But hey, people get a big $700 check though, right?!

Last night, I watched the movie “Molokai” about Father Damien working at the leper colony on Molokai from 1873 to 1889.
Certain aspects of the story sound familiar! Father Damien repeatedly begged for assistance and got little to nothing. Donations that were sent to Honolulu were not being sent on to Molokai, because of greed and a complete lack of compassion.
In the synopsis of the movie, it states:
“Abandoned for all extents and purposes, the lepers attempted to scrape out a living in their squalor without outside aid or care…”

Now in 2023, after a very suspicious fire, it appears that the people of Maui are also being isolated from most outside help and donations. How long can people survive physically and emotionally with their homes completely destroyed, jobs and income lost, not knowing if there will be enough food or medicine over time, and not knowing where their missing children are…OR if they are dead or alive? How long can anyone continue to persevere under these conditions?
Demoralization!
Are the people being forced into submission?
Greedy people have wanted to get their hands on Lahaina for a long time.

In our schools, do they teach the history of the Hawaiian islands, and how/why they were originally acquired by the United States?
It is good to understand History, because it really does tend to repeat itself.

My children grew up in the elementary school system of Hawaii. There they were taught “Hawaiiana” (history of Hawaii). I think the part they enjoyed the most about those history classes was learning about the legends of Madam Pele, Menehunes, Night Marchers, etc. I loved to listen to those legends too! Hawaii is a unique and special place.

Then after we were transferred to California (Navy), they were not taught any more about the history of Hawaii.

This is so very interesting and my first time to learn about the Night Marchers.
Dodie lived there as a child and again as an adult. In fact her younger brother was the first born in Hawaii just after midnight Jan. 1, 1960. I can’t wait for her to read this when she gets home from a Bunco party this evening!

One book is: “Hawaii’s Night Marchers – A History of the Huaka’i Pō”–by Robert Lopaka Kapanui and Tanya Kapanui.
Lopaka Kapanui has also written: “Mysteries of Hawai’i: Na Mo’olelo Lapu” and “Mysteries of Honolulu.”

FEMA staying in resort hotels really irks me. Shouldn’t they be in FEMA motorhomes or large tents like the evacuated folks are staying in? Sounds like this whole firestorm was either city incompetence or a government planned takeover. The property owners that survived should be able to come in a do what they like with their own property. Have their lot cleared and live on their land until they rebuild. Something fishy is going on.

Good reporting, Jack and Dodie, with a nice twist of the knife at the end. The government is hiding all the true facts. Pastor Greg Laurie and his church are there and they are telling the truth about the missing and dead. Hawaii is a liberal snake pit and yes, the time for an armed revolution has come, but who’s side will our military back? Our citizens? Doubtful. Millions of fighting age males from south America are here, waiting to take over. Arm up folks, and Don’t Tread On Me.
