Fake news echoing falsehoods in sync with each other (and RINOS) about the Texas Attorney General this weekend has been predictable.
The State’s House voted to impeach him, but the Senate must have a trial first.
Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, expressed support for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a message on Truth network and calling out the state’s speaker of the house.

“The RINO Speaker of the House of Texas, Dade Phelan, who is barely a Republican at all and failed the test on voter integrity, wants to impeach one of most hard working and effective Attorney Generals in the United States.”

“Ken Paxton, who just won re-election with a large number of American Patriots voting for him. You would think that any issue would have been adjudicated by the voters of Texas, especially when that vote was so conclusive.”
“Hopefully Republicans in the Texas House will agree that this is a very unfair process that should not be allowed to happen or proceed — I will fight you if it does.”

Paxton recently announced a $5.7 billion Big Pharma settlement with Walgreens, with over $340 million designated for Texas, for their role in the nationwide opioid epidemic.
(This brings the total amount of settlement funds from attorneys general investigations and litigation against the pharmaceutical industry for its role in the opioid crisis to more than $50 billion, with over $2.91 billion for Texas).

Texas Senator Ted Cruz (not the RINO one, John Cornyn) spoke against the attempt impeachment, “For the last nine years, Ken has been the strongest conservative AG in the country. Bar none. No attorney general has battled the abuses of the Biden admin more ferociously—and more effectively—than has Paxton.”
“That’s why the swamp in Austin wants him out,” he continued. “The special interests don’t want a steadfast conservative AG. I understand that people are concerned about Ken’s legal challenges. But the courts should sort them out.”

Office of the Attorney General Releases Outside Law Firm’s Report Finding No Violations of the Law or Agency Procedure
AUSTIN – The Office of the Attorney General (“OAG”) released a comprehensive report that unequivocally refutes incorrect testimony that was heard in the House General Investigating Committee. Based on the inaccuracies, falsehoods, and misstatements provided in that testimony, the Texas House chose to proceed with the illegal impeachment of Attorney General Paxton.
The General Investigating Committee’s politically motivated investigation against Attorney General Paxton is predicated on long-disproven claims grounded in hearsay and gossip. In August of 2021, after nearly a year of diligent investigation into these claims from former employees, the Office of the Attorney General released an exhaustive report that ultimately refuted each of the former employees’ allegations. In that report, the OAG stated it would further investigate the allegations and supplement as necessary. Subsequently, the OAG retained an outside law firm to conduct further investigation into the claims of retaliation by the former employees.

This law firm investigation culminated in a report that documents the OAG’s legitimate, non-retaliatory grounds for terminating each of these individuals. This report, along with other clarifying and ultimately exonerating information, could have been readily available to the committee investigators had they merely asked.

Furthermore, an official from the Office of the Attorney General was physically present at a hearing of the House General Investigating Committee on Thursday, May 25. The official offered to testify and sought to inform the House General Investigating Committee about this matter, including by supplying the report, which the official had a physical copy of with him. However, the House General Investigating Committee specifically chose to ignore the official’s offer to testify because they were narrowly focused on advancing an illegal action that would disenfranchise voters who duly elected the Attorney General. They were not interested in the truth. They were interested only in crafting a highly curated, one-sided case to overthrow the will of the voters.
In light of the irresponsible, unfounded, and illegal impeachment of Attorney General Paxton, the Office of the Attorney General is now releasing the report.

I understand that when a snake’s head is cut off it does a lot of writhing when it dies, and takes awhile.

This has nothing to do with the subject, but when I was about 7 my policeman dad shot a snake in the road in front of our house. Many of the neighborhood kids came over to see it. He warned us that although it’s dead, it can still harm us, so we should stay away from it.
Someone retrieved a stick & started playing with it. That snake started writhing, shaking & wrangling around. He dropped that snake and all of us scattered in all directions frightened.

That’s exactly what I heard, and it was only days ago I learned it. Someone was describing what we’re seeing: the killing and death throes of the Deep State. It looks worse because we’re seeing all the evil it’s been doing that was hidden before. And it’s still capable of attacking till it’s good and dead.
