Ted Cruz Puts Liberal Reporter in His Place During Live Press Conference

Texas Senator Ted Cruz put a reporter in his place in front of television cameras during a press conference Wednesday.

“Would you mind putting on a mask for us?” an unidentified journalist suddenly asked.

“Yeah, when I’m talking to the TV camera, I’m not going to wear a mask,” Cruz responded. “All of us have been immunized, so…”

The reporter responded, “It’d make us feel better.”

Cruz smiled and diplomatically told the obvious liberal, “You’re welcome to step away if you’d like. The whole point of the vaccine — CDC guidance is what we’re following.”

After the exchange went viral, Cruz tweeted (Click to view):

“Lefty reporters have lost their minds. #commonsense”

  1. Hmm. Not sure if this “reporter” was actually trying to make a point about mask wearing or something else. In an interview (press conference) who first takes control very often controls the outcome. Tell the interviewee where to sit (back to the wall and a little space in back of them for a second party to stand behind them often throws most people off) and the conversation very often goes the way the interviewer wants. In the case of the Cruz press conference, I suspect that the “reporter” wanted to show who was really in control – not a U.S. Senator but a member of “The Press”. Does anyone think that when these reporters go back to their Georgetown bars to tell their “war stories” that they are wearing masks? I’ll betcha’ not. They want everyone to see their smirking faces as they boast of putting another Republican / Conservative / non-woke person in their place. Good for you Senator Cruz.
