In a Fox News interview on Sunday, August 23, 2020, President Donald Trump stated the possibility of decoupling/separating the United States economy from China.
“Well it’s something that if they don’t treat us right I would certainly, I would certainly do that,” the President said.
A possibility of decoupling U.S. and Chinese economy, as stated by Treasury Secretary Steven Munchin, could arise “if America’s companies are not allowed to compete on a fair and level bases in China’s economy.”
Americans who are on the fence about how they will vote in November are in for a shocker that mainstream media will likely try to minimize. But the ramifications could be maximum.
Below: List of American companies now owned by China
As the clock slowly ticks forward to election day, the Senate Finance Committee, led by Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and others are tediously investigating Hunter Biden’s business ties.
The results could impact Hunter’s father, Joe Biden’s chance of winning the presidential election.
Early in the probe, evidence surfaced that Hunter “inappropriately” leveraged his business ties with a questionable Chinese-backed aviation company.
Specifically, it involves the $600 million purchase of Henniges Automotive in 2015. The Michigan based automotive-suspension systems maker has been under scrutiny of national security investigations and concerns.
One question to be answered is how this deal could have occurred without higher up intervention. Legally, it had to be approved after a review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
Deal negotiations were primarily conducted by the Chinese government-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China Ltd, which acquired the 51 percent ownership. Hunter Biden’s stake was with BHR (see more at the end of this article) which ended up with 49 percent.
Since the transaction, national security experts and analysts revealed that the company, a major supplier of military jets in China, had hacked the U.S. networks to steal the design of the F-35 jet and used the design to build its own jet fighters.
China’s dangerous ties with Democratic politicians is an enormous concern for America.
In July, the Trump Administration began warning American entities and businesses against investing in Chinese companies and said that additional sanctions could be on the way in return for China’s role in spreading the coronavirus.
Nancy Pelosi’s Congress has not moved an inch on the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act passed unanimously by the Senate in May 2020.
The bipartisan act would force China, and other foreign companies to adhere to U.S. securities law. The Trump White House has been taking an aggressive stance undoing some of the damage caused from previous administrations.
In light of the summer of pandemic, a growing number of American voters have serious and suspicious concerns of China’s influence in our country…and the Biden name keeps it front and center.
In her eye opening book, “China RX: Exposing America’s Risk Of Dependence On China For Medicine,” author Rosemary Gibson provides a terrifying warning:
“Supplies can be withheld. Medicines can be made with lethal contaminants or sold without any real medicine in them, rendering them ineffective.”
China makes 97 percent of U.S. antibiotics and over 80 percent of active pharmaceutical ingredients used in American drugs.
Just last year, Chinese-made blood pressure medication was found to be tainted.
The threats are not limited to medicine. Since the Bill Clinton presidency, the World Economic Forum now estimates China owns over $150 billion in U.S. businesses. This doesn’t include the tens of thousands of real estate acres being acquired. My research denotes at least 200,000 acres.
Recent revelations about Joe and Hunter Biden, Nancy and Paul Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and husband Richard Blume, and other political family ties reveal long relationships with China and enormous personal and professional investments.
Takeover of American Business
Most Americans have no clue that when they walk into a movie theater, the likelihood it’s owned by Chinese companies controlled by Beijing is high.
AMC theaters may stand for American Multi-Cinema, but they are owned by China. Billed as “an American company based in Kansas,” the propaganda is familiar as with other Chinese controlled companies. In actuality, the Wanda Group, a Chinese conglomerate, are the controlling owners of over 11,000 American movie screens.
Make no doubt about it, China controls much of Hollywood and influences what we are allowed to see–in the manner they want it.
This is just a tip of the proverbial iceberg. A report backed by the American Security Institute report emphasizes that “Chinese firms and investors own a controlling majority in nearly 2,400 U.S. companies.”
Some if those companies include familiar names:
IBM (PC Division)General Motors
Smithfield Foods (Purchased in 2013 by the WH Group for $4.72 billion. At that time, it was the most expensive acquisition made by a Chinese company in America).
Waldorf Astoria Hotel
Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance
University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Proton Therapy Center (20% ownership)
Cleveland Cavaliers (15% ownership)
Chinese government’s theft of intellectual property was a Swamp secret for decades. Recently, U.S. authorities discovered China has been funding American university researchers practically in media silence.
The Chinese Communist Party similarly funds “Confucius Institutes” at dozens of colleges and universities, providing it with another platform to spread propaganda.
Faced with mounting criticism, several academic institutions, including Texas A&M University system and the University of West Florida, have begun shuttering Confucius Institutes.
Last year, a former Monsanto engineer was indicted by federal prosecutors for stealing “software used by farmers to monitor the content levels of their soil in order to make fertilizer applications more efficient.”
Prosecutors found that he stole the software in exchange for a job at the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Nanjing.
Also in 2019, the Department of Justice (DOJ) found that Michigan-based Van Andel Research Institute illegally failed to disclose two of its researchers were funded by the Chinese government.
In 2020 Charles Lieber, chairman of Harvard University’s chemistry department was arrested for concealing more than $2 million in Chinese funding. His secret contract with the Chinese government stated that he would be paid $50,000 a month, with an additional $150,000 per year to cover personal expenses.
In addition, he was paid $1.5 million to establish a research lab at the Wuhan University of Technology.
This lead to the discovery that Harvard University and Yale University failed to report hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign gifts and contracts, many of them involving China.
January 2012 to June 2018, 15 U.S. colleges and universities reported receiving more than $15 million directly from Hanban, a propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party.
Today China imports over $5 billion a year in agricultural goods to the
According to Time, pea protein from China is also being used by U.S. companies producing fake milk.
Consumption of Chinese products leave American consumers “dangerously vulnerable to food safety violations.
A 2015 report by Asia Inspection found that “nearly half of all Chinese food processing plants fail international standards for food safety,” reports ChinaOwnsUs Organization. “According to the report, abnormal levels of antibiotics, bacteria, pesticides, and heavy metals are found in food processed by China. It is also not uncommon to find Chinese food plagued by abnormal coloring, strange odors, and mislabeled packaging.”
Given the fact that the Chinese government lied to the world about the Wuhan COVID-19 Virus, it’s wise to think their officials underreported when they said there were 500,000 food safety violations in a nine-month period in 2016.
This included “rice contaminated with heavy metals [and] the use of recycled ‘gutter oil’ in restaurants.”
Just one example, is that over the years, Chinese farmers have been using a group of black-market additives, such as clenbuterol (asthma medication) and ractopamine, to make their meat products leaner.
China, through their firm Huawei Technologies, is seeking to build 5G networks in the United States and other Western countries, which can be used to feed personal information and sensitive data to the Chinese Communist Party.
The Trump administration has prevented Huawei from doing this in the United States until at least 2021.
Concerns are that Huawei will create backdoors allowing for surveillance and data collection by their Communist Party, including facial recognition and the addition of spying technologies to smartphones.
In February 2020, Huawei and its subsidiaries were indicted by the Department of Justice for racketeering conspiracy and the conspiracy to steal trade secrets, updating a previous indictment secured in 2019. It’s been going on for decades.
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States has placed TikTok under federal review, citing evidence of the app sending data to China.
In April 2020, the U.S. moved to strip China Telecom’s permits to provide services here because of “the nature of China Telecom’s U.S. operations, which provide opportunities for PRC state-actors to engage in malicious cyber activity enabling economic espionage and disruption and misrouting of U.S. communications.”
In order to do business with China, American businesses must surrender major technological information to Chinese firms or government entities in a “transfer” process. Chemicals and petroleum, medical device, pharmaceutical, and automotive companies are the most vulnerable.
The term “soft power” is used to describe a significant component of the Chinese Communist Party’s pursuit of global power.
In 2007, then Ruling Secretary Hu Jintao identified it as “promoting [the] vigorous development and prosperity of socialist culture” to “hold high the great banner of socialism” in a speech to state officials.
Their State Council forces U.S. filmmakers to censor and adjust their screenplays if they wish to show movies in China’s lucrative market of moviegoers. They allow 34 non-Chinese films into its market every year. This year, while other theaters remain closed for pandemic restrictions, China will be the biggest movie going country in the world.
Disney, which owns ABC News, also owns 43 percent of their theme park in Shanghai. Their film studios are hoping to distribute movies in China, where they must pass government censors.
The Communist Controlled Shanghai Shendi Group owns 57 percent of Shanghai Disney.
China is controlling what the world sees.
According to Ying Zhu, professor of media culture at the College of Staten Island at the City University of New York, “The Chinese censors can act as world film police on how China can be depicted, how China’s government can be depicted, in Hollywood films.”
American News Media
New York Times, Washington Post and other liberal media have published propaganda from China Daily, a “news” organization serving as an arm of the Chinese government.
According to a Washington Free Beacon analysis, the Chinese government had paid for nearly 400 pages of advertising in the Washington Post and more than 100 pages in the Wall Street Journal, along with lesser amounts in the New York Times and Financial Times, between 2011 and 2019.
China Radio International (CRI), has indirectly obtained control of numerous American radio stations and their airtime through their subsidiary companies.
Recently, one of these companies built three 195-foot towers carrying a 50,000 watt signal to encompass all of Washington, D.C. and outlying suburbs, extending the station’s signal past the U.S. Capitol.
Overall, there are now about 30 stations broadcasting pro-China propaganda in the United States, including Boston, Los Angeles and Houston–all known for being news centers for other media outlets.
China Global Television Network (CGTN), formerly known as CCTV, now reaches an estimated 75 million Americans.
This summer, a Democratic favorite, PBS (funded primarily by U.S. government grants) began airing a documentary produced in conjunction with CGTN, touting General Secretary Xi Jinping’s programs. The film’s producer, Robert Lawrence Kuhn, maintains ties to Chinese officials and the government’s State Council Information Office, which specializes in foreign propaganda.
The Biden Connection
In December 2013, then Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden arrived in Beijing aboard Air Force Two with his dad on an official visit to China. Less than two weeks later, Hunter’s company, Rosemont Seneca, became a partner in a new investment company. It’s backed by the state-owned Bank of China, whose purpose is to serve the interests of the Chinese Communist Party.
Christening the new firm Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), the partners set out to raise $1 billion for the new fund. They acquired $1.5 billion instead.
BHR representatives have admitted recently that Hunter introduced his father to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li, who became CEO of BHR after the deal’s conclusion.
With no private equity experience, Hunter was prominently provided a big role with the new company. His firm shared a 30% stake in BHR with the Thornton Group, which was run by James Bulger, the son of longtime Massachusetts state Senate President Billy Bulger. In this group was John Kerry’s stepson Christopher Heinz.
It’s important to note that James Bulger is the nephew of infamous mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger.
Hunter and Bulger joined the board, along with Devon Archer, Hunter’s longtime business partner. Archer would also serve as vice chairman of the fund’s investment committee.
During the Obama Administration, the China General Nuclear Power Company (CGN) was charged with espionage by the Justice Department for stealing U.S. nuclear secrets.
By then Hunter’s BHR was an “anchor investor” in the CGN Chinese state-owned company that develops nuclear reactors.
Another investment fund connected to Hunter received three million dollars in taxpayer cash from a federal program run by Don Graves, a long time friend and top adviser of then Vice President Joe Biden, according to revelations in Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite—a new book by Peter Schweizer
This was not all. In summary, during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter’s associated Chinese business moved more than $2.5 billion into various automotive, technology, energy, and mining endeavors.
Meanwhile social media is burning up with memes and Biden jokes.
