Update: Murder Suspect Freda Thomas Arrested- Man’s Murdered Body Found in Bandera, TX

Update: Freda Michelle Thomas, 56, was arrested in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on Monday about 6:30 pm based on the murder of Robert Isaacks of Bandera, Texas.

Thomas is the 5’4″ female suspect wanted by law enforcement agencies for questioning regarding the murder of an elderly man in the Texas Hill Country “Cowboy Capital of the World” of Bandera.

Thomas was wearing a blue shirt, with bare hands before entering the front door of the house.

According to the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office, a body wrapped in black plastic was found in Crockett County on Nov. 17 and has been identified as Robert Isaacks, 88, who went missing Nov. 15th from his daughter’s home in the Flying L Resort subdivision just south of Bandera.

Officials advise the public not to approach Thomas, who they are familiar with and recognized her from the security footage. They ask that anyone who knows of her whereabouts should call them at (830) 796-3771.

An autopsy confirmed Isaacks’ body, found by a UPS driver around 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, was on the median between the interstate’s westbound lanes and the access road east of Ozona., on IH-10, west of a major truck stop 175 miles northeast of Bandera.

Freda was captured on security cameras following Isaacks into the home, holding a cup with bare hands and wearing a dark blue top.

Two hours later, leaving the house, the suspect is seen wearing gloves and different clothes. The top is similar to a type currently sold at Costco stores. The footage shows and hears her peeling one glove off as she leaves the house.

At least one investigator believes Freda Thomas walked into the house with extra clothes stashed in a messenger bag.

Video footage never captured Isaacks exiting the house. One theory is that his body was placed in a large utility trash can that was missing from the home.

The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office has issued a murder warrant for Thomas.

Witnesses said they saw Isaacks’ Jeep, a familiar vehicle of the community, in Bandera, and it was being driven by Thomas with no one else in the vehicle.

She is thought to have transported Isaacks’ injured or dead body in his vehicle, which may be visibly recognized by the bright yellow Pistol Ranch Del Rio Texas spare tire cover on the rear:

Pistol Ranch was Isaacks’ ranch, named after his favorite dog, Pistol. He was a breeder for many years.

According to law enforcement, his cell phone, wallet, and all personal effects remained at the home. Blood was found on the garage floor.

  1. That’s one bad woman. I hope she is caught, and so sorry for Mr. Isaacks and his family. We tend to believe ourselves safe in our homes, yards, cars etc, but in reality, we are in more danger today than anytime since the old wild west. Hope Bandera heals from this.
