In an interview with Tom Marazzo on “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast,” Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Marazzo discussed how truckers overcame totalitarian-style tactics by the Canadian government, including attacks on individuals’ personal finances.By David Marks
“My credit card was turned off. My spouse’s credit rating was attacked and it dropped 109 points,” Tom Marazzo told Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. during a podcast interview Wednesday. “The credit card that I used to pay for my child’s medication didn’t work. And because it’s on file with the pharmacy, I couldn’t even get heart medication for my child. And so this was all done without any warrants for my arrest, any charges — I wasn’t prosecuted — this was because I had the wrong thoughts.”
Kenndy and Marazzo reviewed the challenges and outcome of the truckers’ protest against. the harsh COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
“I think one of the outstanding features of the event was this very, very troubling reaction by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Canadian government — and parliament — to the convoy,” Kennedy responded. “It was clearly a peaceful demonstration — this was the principal theme of it. It was an organizing feature of the convoy from the beginning that it was about peace and love and justice and democracy.”
Marazzo confirmed the patriotic convoy’s intent but noted the peaceful protesters were prepared for a subversive response.
“We were always on the lookout for what we believed to be provocateurs because we suspected there would be many groups out there that would try to pull this kind of a stunt,” Marazzo responded. “When you have thousands and thousands of people, all attending a major event like that — but one person misbehaves — the entire story becomes about that one person… and that’s exactly what the mainstream media attacked.”
Despite the media’s distorted descriptions, Kennedy asked Marazzo if the Canadian public, including those who accepted COVID mandates, was influenced by the government response.
“The critical mistake that the government of Canada made is they used the banks — they deputized the banks against the people without any form of due process,” Marazzo answered. “And even the most hardened supporters of the COVID 19 mandates — when the banks started to attack people’s accounts and credit scores and close their credit cards off, when they attacked people’s means to provide for their families, that really struck a nerve with a lot of Canadians.”
“Without any due process, without going to a court, without charging you for a crime — it’s really something out of the middle ages,” Kennedy said. “It’s exactly the kind of thing that King George was doing, that prompted us to have a revolution in this country
Marazzo and Kennedy agreed the Canadian government harshly attacked the convoy, politically and economically, with the intent to hinder its progress, including trying to financially cripple individual leaders of the protest.
Texas trucker Joe Buttons honked at his Oklahoma cousins waving flags and banners above as he drove his rig under a large group of supporters this weekend.
“I could spot them in the crowd up there and heared them loud and clear,” Buttons said. “On the cell (phone) they told me how proud they were of me–all of us. We just thank everybody for lining the streets and overpasses. It’s like patriotism is back.”
One of his relatives told him later they counted 688 18-wheelers “and hundreds of cars, vans, pickups, RVs, and occasionally a motorcycle or two.”
“Everybody asks how many trucks are in the convoy,” Buttons offered. “Hell, I don’t know because it changes so much.”
He explained that some trucks join them on their way east and “then a few that leave us after a few hours. There is a constant flow of families and everybody driving beside us, honking their horns and wishing us luck.”
“We see everybody from every color and every age,” he continued. “It just makes us feel good. It tells us they are on our side of freedom, no matter your age or sex or whatever. We are all Americans—together.”
“They said, with a drone and people on the overpasses counting, it looks like we are up to over 600 trucks and at least that many more of cars and all,” Buttons said. One thing we know for sure–it’s growing and it’s growing fast.”
“When they say ‘the convoy,’ it’s not about just one line of trucks going to Washington,” he explained. “There’s more than one route. We have tributaries of highways leading the charge, the convoys will all meet up.”
“We heard someone say if they could measure all of these trains (vehicles on highways), single file and add them up, right now it would be about 65 miles long.”
While national mainstream media ignores, downplays or distorts news of the convoy, local, social media and independent coverage is strong.
As midnight ended the first day of America’s great trucker convoys, over 976 trucks and other vehicles settled down in Arizona and beyond. The People’s Convoy group reported donations totalling $464,731 directly to their organization website:

As The People’s Convoy begins their peaceful and unified transcontinental movements for freedom, hundreds of truckers are hearing encouragement and blessings from speakers including FLCCC President Dr. Pierre Kory and Godspeak Church Pastor Rob McCoy.
“The truckers are joined by freedom-loving supporters from all walks of life on this peaceful and law-abiding transcontinental journey for freedom,” one spokesperson said Tuesday night.
“This convoy is about freedom and unity,” they announced.” “The truckers are riding unified across party and state lines with freedom loving people of all colors and creeds. Everyone is welcome to participate by attending the launch rally and/or by following the big rigs in their own vehicles.”

The People’s Convoy Message
The 23 months of the COVID-19 pandemic have been a rough road for all Americans: spiritually, emotionally, physically, and – not least – financially.
Good therapeutics and the hard work of courageous, frontline doctors and nurses contributed to declining COVID-19 cases and severity of illness. It’s time to re-open America. It’s time for elected officials to work with American workers to and restore accountability and liberty – by lifting all mandates and ending the “state of emergency.” Americans need to get back to work and living in a free and unrestricted manner.
Many non-mainstream media reporters, photographers and staff will embed with the Convoy. Note: As of this writing Newsmax, Eric Bolling, Maureen Steele, The Epoch Times and other journalists, media outlets and podcasters are joining.
Retired military and security experts are assisting the convoy and spearheading logistics to ensure a 100 percent safe, lawful, and peaceful journey.
“We have the freedom our forefathers and veterans have continually died for over the past two hundred years. Just visit our National Cemetaries and view the rows of sacrifice on the grounds. This freedom needs to be defended whether foreign or domestic,” was a message passed around by supporters to truckers before they left. “All of us must fight these communists. I know this because I am a cold war veteran. This time they have attacked us from the inside via money and political means.”
“Our representatives seem to be very quiet during these times, why? God bless all of you in this endeavor to retain our freedom that we still have today,” wrote FireDogRazor54. “To my brothers and sisters in Canada, your blood has been shared in the past many times and I know personally that you do not quit, defend the Maple leaf! To all I repeat ‘esprit de corps’. Post this message on your trucks!! To the police, go 10-7 with the blue covid flu for about a week, just saying. Where is our clergy? Tend the flock and ward off the foxes!”
Why The Price We Pay For Avocados & Other Produce Is Forced By Drug Cartels
A special report by Jack Dennis
During the Obama presidency, I was often reporting about the problems of illegal immigration and drug smuggling on the Texas-Mexico border. One of the most revealing interviews was with a man who had escaped cartel torture and death and was working at a downtown San Antonio restaurant.
I learned avocados and lime costs imported into the U.S. from Mexico were subject to a drug cartel tax, or “la cota.” Carlos, himself a former cartel member, revealed in 2011, provided I did not reveal his real name.
The then 28-year-old Mexican national moved to the San Antonio area to escape cartel torture, death and “before they killed the only family I have left.”
“I started out picking, ‘quadrillero.’ Later, I was being forced to turn over everything–my home–my family. They gave me a choice of plata o plomo, silver or lead,” he gestured with his finger touching his temple like a gun.”
“They charge those farmers and packers ‘la cota’ for each truck they send out,” Carlos explained. “And before the trucks make it to the distribution, they might get stopped three or four times for la cota.”
“Those rich drug traffickers bought out all or most of the avocado plantations, especially in Michoacán (state) where most of them are grown,” he said. “They make money many ways–selling and taxing, and laundering money too.”
Carlos described what happens to anyone that doesn’t pay the tax.
“They call it Mexican insurance,” he said. “They tell you they know who your wife is, or your mother, or your daughters and you better pay or we will rape and kill them.”
“They pay the cartels what they want, like a toll road,” Carlos observed. “We charged about 600 or 700 pesos for each truck about five years ago, but I don’t know any more what it is. It’s a common thing.”
“Americans think the drug gangs just make their money from the drugs, but they make money off of your food and imports that come from Mexico too,” claimed Carlos.
“Sometimes those terminals in Mexico and even here in Texas wait for the trucks to get there, but if the drug gangs don’t get paid, those trucks will not get there,” Carlos said. “You ask any of them (distributors or terminals) and they will tell you this is more common than people think.”
Carlos said the distribution companies have attempted to change their routes to prevent stolen equipment and kidnapping, “but halcones (or mules, a Mexican term for lookouts) are always watching.”
“They even use GPS (and other tracking technology) to know where the trucks are all the time,” Carlos elaborated. “Hell, they have hundreds of halcones here in Texas watching (Highways 181, 37, 35, 90, and 16 at the truck stops and gas stations coming into San Antonio all the time so they know where their drug shipments are and can tell them if the police or immigration is nearby.”
Carlos shook his head about what he sees on television news and from state congressmen and some mayors. sai
“That’s politician talk” and the reality is “those gangs are laughing at the Americans because you don’t think there is a war on you.”
“They recruit your kids.”
“They recruit your kids in the schools, they take over your ranches, they even make your food costs go up,” Carlos was serious. “They are buying up your policemen, your businesses, and laugh that you let it happen.”
Before the Trump administration began construction on Border Wall, almost two-thirds of criminal activity in Texas was gang related and Mexican cartels were escalating their recruitment of U.S. school-age children.
“Texas Border Security: A Strategic Military Assessment,” an independent study by former military generals Barry McCaffrey and Major-General Robert Scales noted, “They want these kids to do the dirty work.”
“They are sacrificial,” Carlos explained. “They pay them $500 or $1000 to cross the border into Texas because they know the patrol doesn’t think American kids are going to smuggle that much drugs in, but with that kind of money, and excitement, they can find students willing to do it.”
“When the other kids see someone driving a car and spending money and buying their girlfriends jewelry and clothes, it’s not hard to recruit others,” Carlos said.
In just 18 months, six of seven cartels established headquarters in Texas cities, according to testimony form the Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McGraw.
At least 22 murders, 24 assaults, 15 shootings and five kidnappings were traced to cartel activities on the Texas side of the border during that period.
Carlos says “these cartels are very sophisticated and are run like a military or a business.”
“They provide ‘insurance’ to the farmers,” Carlos outlined. “If the farmers continue to harvest and provide marijuana for a very cheap price, then their wives and children will continue to live. That is Mexican cartel ‘insurance.’”
“They pay a few dollars for a pound of marijuana,” said Carlos. “They have up to six levels of people on their payroll who make sure it gets into the U.S. cities because they can sell it in San Antonio or Houston for like $250 or $300 a pound, but in New York or Chicago, it might be $1500 or $1600, and that’s a big profit that no one is going to stop as long as the U.S. allows them to keep on going.”
The generals’ report stated the cartels objectives “are relying increasingly on organized gangs to provide expendable and unaccountable manpower to do their dirty work.”
“These gangs are recruited on the streets of Texas cities and inside Texas prisons by top-tier gangs who work in conjunction with the cartels,” the report continued.
During the Obama presidency, Department of Public Safety reports showed that in 2010, the Texas prison gangs associated with the Mexican cartels increased from four to 12.
When Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples released the report, it revealed these cartels were building a “sanitary zone” about one county deep within the U.S. along the Texas border. The plan was use this zone to escape Mexican law enforcement and provide an area of safe movement for drug smugglers and human traffickers.
Texas was the “tactical close combat zone and frontline in this conflict. Texans have been assaulted by cross-border gangs and narco-terrorist activities.”
“Washington keeps telling us our border is more secure than ever, but this detailed military assessment, by two of America’s top generals, offers proof to the contrary,” Commissioner Staples said about the Obama administration. “It’s time to shed the cloak of denial and protect our citizens and national security.”
“It’s time for Washington to uphold its constitutional duty to protect Americans on their home soil,” Staples added.
The report offered a military perspective on how to best use “strategic, operational and tactical measures to secure the increasingly hostile border regions” on the border.
“Under the Biden Administration, with Barack Obama’s instructions, the border crisis has returned with a vengeance,” said Eduardo Portales, a lifelong farmer located between Harlingen and McAllen, Texas. “My relatives and friends have resorted to banding together to keep a 24 hour watch on our property because of the increased break-ins, theft and crime this past year. I blame Obama and Biden. No wonder so many in the (Rio Grande Valley) voted for Trump.”
While Los Angeles and the Superbowl plan their five day event leading up to their big game on February 13, American truckers have something else on their minds…like saving our freedoms.
Truckers know that millions of pounds of food and millions of gallons of beverages do not magically appear in Los Angeles bars, stores and households. They arrive at these places because truckers deliver them.
While the world watches in support of the Canadian Truckers Freedom Convoy in Ottawa, Canada, truckers in America are organizing for additional protests.
In the United States, behind Thanksgiving, Superbowl Sunday is the highest consumption day of food of the year. Truckers realize they can make a statement knowing:
🔹Americans drink 325 million gallons of beer, the equivalent of 5 percent of the total yearly consumption in the U.S. on one day. (Turn that beer into fuel, and it could fill the tank of a semi 1.08 million times).
🔹Spend $227 million on potato chips, which would purchase 1,135 of Tesla’s founder series trucks.
🔹Buy $330 million worth of pizza, which could cover 4.7 million synthetic oil changes.
🔹Eat 8 million pounds of guacamole, which is equivalent to 108 fully loaded 18-wheelers.
🔹Consume 4 million pounds of pretzels, or the weight of 8,000 truck wheels.
🔹Devour 1.3 billion chicken wings, which could provide 371 wings to every class 8 driver in the country.
American Truckers realize their importance to Super Bowl Sunday, knowing consumers will consume over 120 truckloads of popcorn, 370 truckloads of potato chips, 688 truckloads of avocados, 1,590 truckloads of chicken wings, and over 36,366 truckloads of beer.
There are more than just rumors floating around about organized and non-violent protesting by truckers against the Superbowl. To make matters worse, California’s UHaul fleet is currently depleted because a vast number of citizens are leaving the state to claim better jobs, housing and freedoms elsewhere.
While truckers consider their options, the NFL plans a “Covid Blitz” that will use the game and the days leading up to it as platforms for pushing COVID-19 experimental mRNA ‘therapy vaccines,’ constant testing, and pervasive masks. Some attendees are planning “Let’s Go Brandon” and “F*** Joe Biden” chants as well as a massive unmasking event in the stands.
Here’s a Superbowl post on Telegram:
For all who say Super Bowl is a saint and it shouldn’t be boycotted, read this:
In addition to its safety protocols, the NFL will use the Super Bowl’s massive popularity to promote vaccinations and Covid testing. When the Los Angeles Convention Center hosts the five-day Super Bowl Experience, a kind of football theme park, every visitor will receive a free take-home Covid test kit and be urged to test before the game. Los Angeles County also plans to set up vaccination sites at the convention center, and anyone who gets a dose will be allowed into the fan event for free.
1/31/22 update: Convoy organizers say they now have enough funds to keep trucks parked in front of Parliament Hill for 2 to 4 years.
“Truck Trudeau,” “Truck Joe Biden” and “Let’s Go Brandon” were chants being conveyed outside the Capitol of Canada this morning and is spreading around the world.
The citizens that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau labelled as a “small fringe” with “unacceptable views” rolled in the Capitol city of Ottowa in sub-freezing weather yesterday, last night and continue today.
Trudeau, fearful of the Canadian truckers who convoyed and protesting for their nation’s freedoms, took his family in hiding away from their home in Ottowa to an unknown place in the region.
Reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s “Deplorables”–which turned out to be a large majority of the United States, Trudeau referred to people who chose not to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as “racist and misogynistic extremists.”
Mainstream media labelled them as “far right”.
It turns out, despite what official statement and biased reports from media, the Canada’s trucker convoys are larger than Canada’s military force. As the clock turned midnight on Saturday, January 29, just one of the convoys was 54 miles long.
Unexpectedly by the government and media, by Thursday a CTV poll revealed 78 percent of voters support the movement.
This historical and massive protest against—deemed Trudeau’s coronavirus (Covid-19) “Freedom Convoy” –– began as a rally against a vaccine requirement for cross-border truckers, but has exploded into a demonstration against government overreach around the world.
Flying the Canadian flag, waving banners demanding “Freedom” and chanting slogans against Trudeau, the tens of thousands of protesters greeted the truckers along interstate highways and throughout Ottowa.
Hours before the protest was officially to start, the streets of Ottawa’s city centre were packed with trucks as the blaring, non-stop honking of hundreds of air horns filled the air.
Meanwhile, Trudeau and his administration’s fears are transparent as they’ve lost control of the narrative and they realize it’s almost end game.
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) called a specially called meeting yesterday to stop the fraudulent production and use of temporary license tags. The board established limits on the number of temporary tags available to dealers and “denying bad actors access to the temporary tag database as soon as fraudulent activity has been identified.”
These actions will have immediate effect, once filed with the Texas Register. TxDMV will begin using the new authority to deny bad actors access to the temporary tag system immediately.
🔹The Board actions implement House Bill 3927, enacted by the Texas Legislature.
🔹The bill provides the legal authorization for TxDMV to take swifter action when fraud is identified and to reduce the potential number of tags at risk for illegal use.
🔹These tools will reduce the ability of criminals to print unlimited numbers of temporary tags for illegal purposes while ensuring legitimate dealers retain full access to temporary tags needed to support vehicle sales.
“We greatly appreciate the participation and input of the public and representatives of the motor vehicle industry in Texas as the department works to support our law enforcement partners throughout the state in reducing the illegal use of temporary tags,” said TxDMV Chairman Charles Bacarisse.
These processes were adopted by the Board as revisions to TxDMV administrative rules, following a period of public comment, input from the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation Advisory Committee, and review by the Regulatory Compliance Division of the Office of the Governor.
The Board additionally directed TxDMV staff to continue pursuing ways to enhance the identification of individuals attempting to obtain a dealer license fraudulently.
🔹In the coming weeks, staff will review the department’s ability to institute processes to use fingerprinting and enhanced site visits during the license approval process and identify the rules and resources necessary to operationalize the measures.
🔹The agency will review ways to implement these and other activities that promote compliance with licensure requirements and the legitimate use of temporary tags without unduly burdening commerce and industry throughout the state.
Under White House Resident Joe Biden, unvaccinated illegal aliens by the hundreds of thousands are encouraged and welcomed to come into the United States.
Hypocrisy rules for the Biden-Harris Administration as their Homeland Security announced Thursday that truckers from Mexico and Canada will no longer be permitted to enter the US without vaccine passports.
“These updated travel requirements reflect the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to protecting public health while safely facilitating the cross-border trade and travel that is critical to our economy,” Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement.
On Monday, those in mainstream media who bothered to report it, revealed about 40 Canadian truckers protested near the U.S. border in Emerson, Manitoba. By Wednesday, over 45,000 truckers formed convoys throughout Canadian interstates and at key US-Canada crossing points. The goal is to embark on one of the largest protests for citizens of both countries as they head for the capital, Ottawa, on Saturday.
In freezing weather, along all convoy routes, truckers are greeted by thousands of citizens in support of their cause.”
“Twelve of us brought crockpots of hot food and we fed as many as we could,” said Teresa LaFluer in Emerson. “We have friends doing the same further down the highway. We are feeding our heroes.”
Some RVers have joined the convoy to help prepare meals and show support.
Deemed the Canadian-USFreedom Convoy 2022, the group collected over 60,000 donations from GoFundMe since its launch on Jan. 14. These funds will primarily cover fuel costs “and hopefully food and lodgings to help ease the pressures of this arduous task,” organizers said.
“The Biden Administration has been playing a giant game of chicken with the American workforce over the last few months by forcing a vaccine mandate that was unlawful – as the U.S. Supreme Court recently held – and in so doing, undermining our freedoms by way of coercing American workers into taking the vaccine,” noted the Freedom Fighter Nation. “Unfortunately, the government of Canada has been behaving in a similar fashion. But throughout history, countries have risen and fallen on the backs of the blue-collar boys and girls, and this era is no different.”
“The decision by Trudeau and Biden to prevent trucker crossings at our borders by unvaccinated workers was the last straw – it represented the proverbial match that ignited a nation to action: the Canadian truckers have planned a convoy-protest, and America is joining in.”
With pressure from Washington, GoFundMe decided Tuesday to halt distributing more than $3.7 million already raised for the trucker convoys.
“Our goal is to protect the generosity of donors and ensure that every dollar donated on our platform reaches the right place,” a GoFundMe spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday. “We require that fundraisers be transparent about the flow of funds and have a clear plan for how those funds will be spent.”
In the US, estimates indicate over 6,000 drivers are joining in the protests so far.
The Canadian Trucking Alliance and American Trucking Alliance originally estimated that up to 15% of drivers would leave cross-border trucking as a result of the mandates. Recent actions by truckers in both countries indicate that number could be much larger.
Trucks typically haul over $300 billion of freight between the U.S. and Canada annually, with about 75% handled by Canadian drivers.
“This convoy is open to all freedom-lovers: Farmers, moms in Volvos, plumbers, teachers, nurses, doctors, mechanics, restaurant employees, retirees and students – EVERYONE,” said the Freedom Fighters organization. “If you are within a day’s ride to one of these borders – GO!!!
ALL TRUCKERS — as well as all other citizens with automobiles – can support the Canadian-US Freedom Convoy. People from both countries are encouraged to participate and support your fellow Freedom Fighters.
