The primary protection for news organizations in the American Bill of Rights comes from the First Amendment, which protects freedom of the press.
This prevents the government from censoring journalists or prohibiting them from publishing information.
However, it does not guarantee a right of physical access to specific government facilities, including the White House.
In Houchins v. KQED, Inc. (1978), the U.S. Supreme Court decided that the First Amendment does not grant the press any special constitutional right to enter government-controlled facilities beyond the access granted to the general public.
It is blatantly honest there are way too many modern outlets now to be partial to those giant biased mainstream media outlets.

Although they were still human and imperfect, I miss Edward Murrow and Walter Cronkite (and Paul Harvey and Andy Rooney). By the time we were enduring the likes of Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw, Eric Sevareid, Harry Reasoner, Mike Wallace, and Dan Rather, the news was already less than trustworthy.
