Arrests of Military Top Secret Spies Increasing in U.S.

During the four years of the Biden-Harris administration, U.S. Border Patrol agents recorded over 64,000 apprehensions of Chinese nationals—more than all those recorded from FY07-20 combined.

During this same time period, over 200 incidents involved well rehearsed Chinese “tourists.” They were found and questioned just outside of U.S. military bases and properties.

US officials described these incidents as potential espionage threats, raising significant concerns about national security.

These covert infiltrations involve Chinese nationals posing as tourists. They utilize a variety of tactics to gain unauthorized access to military installations across the United States.

Who remembers the Chinese spy balloon fiasco?

In August 2025, Spc. Taylor Adam Lee, 22, of Fort Bliss, Texas was arrested.

He was charged with attempting to transmit national defense information to a foreign adversary. He was also charged with exporting controlled technical data without a license.

This occurred days after delivering a computer he had taken from a tank at Fort Bliss to a storage facility in El Paso.

Lee

Since 2021, the Army Counterintelligence Command’s agents have conducted more than 600 national security investigations. These efforts led to the arrests of 25 soldiers and former soldiers. They were suspected of espionage.

American troops are targeted daily by foreign intelligence officers seeking details on weaponry and tactics.

Adversary intelligence officials target American soldiers on popular internet platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Reddit. They hope to find individuals who will share military secrets that could be beneficial in future conflicts.

The primary illicit actors represent America’s top foes. These include China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

These countries have increasingly been found working together to seek the latest American secrets, according to Lt. Gen. Tony Hale, the Army’s intelligence director.

“The adversary is collecting on us every day, no matter where we are,” Hale said. “They’re trying to connect virtually with service members, with family members, with Department of War and Department of Army (civilian) employees and with contractors to gain that advantage that they believe will help them win the next fight.”

On December 1, 2025 sentencing will be determined for Jinchao Wei, also known as Patrick Wei, of espionage and export violations.

Wei

Wei was an active-duty U.S. Navy sailor stationed at Naval Base San Diego when he agreed to sell Navy secrets to a Chinese intelligence officer for $12,000.

After a five-day trial and one day of deliberation in August, the jury convicted Wei of six counts. These include conspiracy to commit espionage, espionage, and unlawful export of technical data.

The jury also found him guilty of conspiracy to export technical data related to defense articles. This was in violation of the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.

Wei’s arrest coincided with another U.S. Navy sailor based out of Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme.

That sailor was Petty Officer Wenheng Zhao, 26.

He was found sending sensitive military information to a Chinese intelligence officer. This included operational plans for a large-scale U.S. military exercise in the Indo-Pacific Region.

Also in August, Korbein Schultz, an intelligence analyst with the 506th Infantry Battalion, from Wills Point, Texas, pleaded guilty to conspiring to collect and transmit national defense information.

Schultz

With top security clearance, Schultz unlawfully exported controlled information to China and accepted bribes in exchange for sensitive U.S. government information.

He was paid $42,000 for passing on information from 2022 until his arrest in March 2024 at Fort Campbell, Ky., according to the DOJ.

Some of the secrets included the Army learned lessons from the Ukraine-Russia conflict. These lessons would be applicable in the defense of Taiwan, in the event of an attack by China.

The information also included technical manuals for the HH-60 helicopter, F-22A fighter jet, and intercontinental ballistic missile systems.

There were details on U.S. military exercises in South Korea and the Philippines, plus information on U.S. military satellites and missile defense systems.

First Lt. Li Tian was a health services administrator serving at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington.

He was accused of conspiring with Ruoyu Duan. Ruoyu Duan is a former soldier based in Oregon. They allegedly gathered information secretly about the Army’s operations, including technical manuals, from November 2021 to December 2024.

  4. Don’t know if they still do it but they need to bring back firing squads and hanging for these traitors, and you would think they would be keeping a close watch on soldiers with Asian names, this is all nutz
