Today, thankfully most Americans know which leaders are controlled by World Economic Forum and the United Nations.
Eighteen years ago, former Vice President Al Gore gave his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech. He used it to sound the alarm on a vanishing Arctic ice cap. The ice is still there. The world is not underwater.
Gore’s prediction of an ice-free summer by 2014 has not materialized. Recent measurements show more sea ice than in 2007.

In his December 10, 2007, lecture Gore cited scientific reports to emphasize the urgency of climate change.
He described the North Polar ice cap as “falling off a cliff”
One estimate he referenced pointed to less than 22 years for a complete melt, while a U.S. Navy study suggested it could happen in as few as seven years – putting the timeline at 2014.
This forecast was part of a climate change narrative Gore championed. It warned of catastrophic environmental tipping points. These required immediate global action.
Yet, nearly two decades later, and the ice cap actually has more ice.
According to The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC):
•️ September 2007 4.17 million square kilometers of ice.
•️ September 2025 4.60 million square kilometers of ice.
This is an increase of about the size of California.
The World Economic Forum, United Nations leaders, top scientists, and political heavyweights are joining Gore in his global warming/climate change narrative. Their failed prophecies have fueled trillions in green spending worldwide.
•️ Barack Obama: Around 2014, Obama warned that “our changing climate is already making it more difficult to produce food,” implying widespread agricultural breakdowns from warming.

Reality: Global food production has shattered records annually since, with crop yields up 20% in key regions and hunger rates dropping, thanks to tech like drought-resistant seeds.
•️ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: In 2019, AOC stated that the world had just 12 years left. This period extends until 2031. This is necessary to avert the “worst impacts” of climate change, including societal collapse.

Reality: With six years down and no apocalypse in sight, critics observe a pattern. They note this echoes past unfulfilled scares. At the same time, it pushes costly Green New Deal proposals.
• Joe Biden: Echoing AOC in 2019, Biden endorsed the 12-year doomsday clock for planetary livability, framing it as settled science demanding urgent federal intervention.

Reality: As of 2025, ecosystems and economies chug along, with U.S. energy independence via fracking proving more resilient than predicted meltdowns.
️Gordon Brown, former UK Prime Minister: In 2009, ahead of the Copenhagen climate talks, Brown gave world leaders just 50 days to act or face “irretrievably too late” irreversible warming.

Reality: The deadline lapsed without catastrophe; global temperatures rose modestly, but no tipping points triggered the end-times scenario.
️Laurent Fabius, former French Foreign Minister: In 2014, Fabius issued a stark 500-day countdown – until late 2015 – to dodge full-blown “climate chaos” and ecosystem ruin.

Reality: Paris Accord or not, 2015 passed uneventfully, with weather patterns showing natural variability over doomsday drama.
•️ Greta Thunberg, climate activist: In 2021, the teenage demanded the UN declare a “systemwide climate emergency” to force global action, implying humanity teetered on the brink of irreversible disaster.

Reality: Four years later, no emergency lockdown ensued; instead, her movement highlights how youth-led activism amplifies urgency without matching evidence.
•️ Sen. Gaylord Nelson, former U.S. Senator and Earth Day founder: In 1970, Nelson amplified warnings that 75-85% of animal species would vanish by 1995 due to environmental overload from pollution and warming.

Reality: Under 1% of species have been lost.
•️ Ted Turner, media mogul and UN Foundation co-founder: In 2008, Turner envisioned a hellscape by 2038-2048: 8-degree temperature spikes, crop failures killing most of humanity, and survivors turning to cannibalism.

Reality: With 13-20 years to go, crop outputs are at all-time highs, and global population thrives.

You’re right. Instead of being in the middle of another drought, those of us in Houston should be under water due to Gore’s melted ice caps.

Don’t these people ever read nursery tales in their youth?
Meanwhile, we are happy to report that the Polar Bears are happier than ever.

That give me an idea. How about our sending AOC up to the artic circle to count the supposedly decreasing numbers of polar bears due to the supposed ice melt.
Maybe she will get a tad too close to one.

It would be a real act of public service, and she ought to be game for it.

So basic, right?

Fifty years ago, they were predicting a new ice age and then predicting global warming and now climate change. There is a self correcting mechanism. Photosynthetic organisms, such as cyanobacteria, algae and plants, use carbon dioxide and release oxygen. This is all about control so they can get money and/or power. Many scientists, writing in that field, have to at least mention the climate change disaster to get grants or keep their jobs.

It baffles me that these people just continue to spout their idiotic propaganda.

It’s equally baffling how so many continue to believe them, instead of the evidence right before their eyes. Deception is powerful.

I’m so old I can remember when we were on the verge on another ice age, and when acid rain was going to kill us all, and when the population bomb was going to kill us all, and when the hole in the ozone layer was going to kill us all, and when global warming was going to kill us all. (I also remember when absolutely everything that happened was cited as incontrovertible evidence of global warming — including more precipitation than usual, less precipitation than usual, higher temperatures, lower temperatures, more hurricanes, fewer hurricanes, more forest fires, fewer forest fires, etc.) Every time the solution is the same: More power and money and control to the elites, less freedom for the peasants. Why anyone still listens to these charlatans is beyond me.

Exactly. (We must be close to the same age).

If a boater throws their drink with ice cubes into the ocean and, if another boater happens to see the ice cubes, it will cause a global panic. The word will get out-the Arctic is disintegrating! 🙂
