Air Force Grants Full Military Honors of J6 Victim Ashli Babbitt

The U.S. Air Force has granted full military funeral honors to Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran who was fatally shot during January 6, 2021 at the Capitol.

This decision reverses the previous denial by the Biden administration.

Under Secretary of the Air Force Matthew Lohmeier communicated this change in an August 15, 2025 letter to Babbitt’s family. He stated that after reviewing the circumstances of her death, he considered new information. He was persuaded that the previous determination was incorrect.

Babbitt was shot through a glass pane of a door inside the Federal Building, one of five people who lost their lives that day.

In June, 2021, the Biden Justice Department closed the investigation of the Capitol police officer who shot her, exonerating him of all wrongdoing.

Although Deep State operatives and Mainstream Media attempted to bury information about the killing of Babbitt, Clever Journeys was among the first to report it was Capitol Police Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd who murdered her.

Byrd was reportedly not living at his residence in Brandywine, Maryland after the killing. He has not been driving his 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe since shortly after the murder.

In April, 2021 the Biden Justice Department announced that their investigation conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia determined “that there is insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.”

Insiders say it was Byrd who fatally shot Babbitt, 35, an Air Force veteran from San Diego. The Justice Department’s decision, though expected, officially closes out the investigation.

Video Evidence Revealed

Initially prosecutors said they came to their conclusion after reviewing video of the shooting, along with statements from other officers and witnesses, examined physical evidence from the scene and reviewed the autopsy results.

Unfortunately for the DOJ’s version, too many Americans have seen plenty of video footage to strongly disagree.
