It is interesting to review the initial reports about the historical breach at the United States Capitol compared to how mainstream media later propagandized it.

Just two days after January 6, 2021, House Majority Whip James Clyburn told CBS News that the ease in which rioters were able to get into the U.S. Capitol suggested that someone on the inside of the Capitol was “complicit” in the assault. 

“I do believe that something was going on. They knew where to go. I’ve been told … by some other Congress people that their staff are saying that they saw people being allowed into the building through side doors. Who opened those side doors for these protesters…to come into the building, not through the main entrance where magnetometers are but through side doors? Yes, somebody on the inside of those buildings were complicit in this.” 

Jim Bernazzani, who served as Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the FBI and following the 911 terrorists’ attacks and was the Deputy Director for Law Enforcement at the Counterterrorism Center, said he was stunned by what took place on Jan. 6.

“I tell you right now the one thing that I found very perplexing relative to this event is the fact of the lack of intelligence,” he said. “How can you have that many people in the capital of the United States, and I’m talking about all agencies that wouldn’t have a human source of intelligence telling law enforcement what was going to transpire and it is really perplexing and confusing because intelligence drives operations, This should have never happened.”

Over time, there were numerous video clearly showing:

● Police removing barriers for the non-violent protesters.

● Police waved non-violent protesters onto Capitol grounds.

● Police open doors to allow non-violent protesters into Capitol building.

● Questions were asked, but quickly squelched, about the high number of National Guard troops on hand during Black Lives Matter protests of June 2020 at the Lincoln Memorial, but so few security personnel were available on the steps of the Capitol on Jan 6, as hundreds of pro-Trump patriots marched toward those grounds.

“Why wasn’t the D.C. National Guard, and perhaps Guard troops from Maryland and Virginia, there ahead of time?” one former Trump cabinet member asked.

“It makes absolutely no sense that they were not there ahead of time,” he said. “This was not an intelligence failure. The president invited these folks to Washington. He met with them and incited them. Everyone knew they were coming for a significant period of time.”

● On January 7, 2021 the Wall Street Journal led with “The Federal Bureau of Investigation and an intelligence unit inside the Department of Homeland Security didn’t issue a threat assessment of the Jan. 6 pro-Trump protests…”

●  The Associated Press,  Jan. 8: “Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy said that as the rioting was underway, it became clear that the Capitol Police were overrun. But he said there was no contingency planning done in advance for what forces could do in case of a problem at the Capitol because Defense Department help was turned down.”
