While America is Being Invaded, Michael Johnson’s Congress Calls for  $95 Billion More in Taxpayer Aid for Ukraine, Foreign Matters

“Washington needs to stop shoveling money to Ukraine while our own borders are wide open,” Congressman Andy Ogles, a Tennessee Republican, complained as the troubled US House of Representatives introduced a rule on Friday that calls on a vote for a $95 billion foreign aid bill, including $60 billion earmarked for the Ukraine government in Kiev.

Requested by White House resident Joe Biden in October, the funding proposal had been dwindling in the House for months due to objections from a brave and conservative bloc of the Republican majority.

Friday saw 165 Democrats and only 151 Republicans vote in favor of the rule change, fueling fury against Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana).

Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson over the rule change. It has been endorsed by Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Paul Gosar of Arizona.

Democrats are salivating

Dan Bishop of North Carolina, bristled that the Republican leadership is “fighting tooth and nail to pass Democrat, America Last priorities,” while Texan Michael Burgess, the chair of the Rules Committee, whimped out about not having border security in the package of bills but that “the requirement for America to assert itself as the leader of the free world is not optional, it’s not a requirement we can put on pause.”

While some of the $60 billion will pay the salaries of Ukrainian government officials, much would end up going to US Military Industrial Complex of weapons manufacturers–large contributors to American politicians’ election campaigns.

Part of the game to help media propagandists with their biased reporting, is to call almost 20% of the funding to be “restructured as a loan,” but in actuality the bill has  a provision for Biden to just write it off after November 15, 2024.

Johnson became speaker last October after the House Freedom Caucus, the same group now opposed to Ukraine funding, ousted Kevin McCarthy over a secret deal with Democrats to fund Kiev.

If adopted, the bill will go back to the Senate for approval before it can be signed into effect by Biden.

  1. Unless President Trump gets back in office I see no hope for the United States. The DemoCrats are an evil communist party. The Republicans majority are a wimpy weak useless bunch. Neither party has any guts or will to put the American citizens first. But like it has been said over and over. It will all come crashing down when they run out of taxpayer money. And that time is not far off.

  2. I agree with you but I don’t see a better option. The Republicans have such a slim majority. If Jeffries or another Democrat becomes Speaker, we will lose whatever little protection we have. I saw what happened in the 1/6 hearing where only democrats and 2 real RINOS that Pelosi chose were allowed. All the democrats fully support all the actions of Biden, Mayorkas and Garland. There will be nothing to stop them. I know that they aren’t stopping much but maybe they are stopping more than we know. They will probably go for full amnesty and a short pathway to citizenship then the democrats will be entrenched in power for generations. Since they don’t fear God and there are no consequences from humans, they will do whatever they want. We will lose all our rights in the Bill of Rights.
